Crowd chants ‘Save the cats!’ as Trump announces Springfield visit

Former President Donald J. Trump knocked it out of the ballpark before a raucous crowd in Long Island, NY on Wednesday where he announced that he plans to pay a visit to Springfield, Ohio.

Looking for a strong showing in the deep blue state in November, Trump held a rally at the 16,000-seat Nassau Coliseum which was packed to the rafters with his adoring supporters who weren’t disappointed as the GOP nominee delivered the goods with a fiery speech that hit the mark.

“I’m going to Springfield and I’m going to Aurora,” Trump announced to applause, referring to the beleaguered midwestern city that’s been overrun by Haitian foreigners as well the Denver suburb where a violent Venezuelan gang has set up shop. “You may never see me again, but that’s OK. Got to do what I got to do. Whatever happened to Trump? Well, he never got out of Springfield.”

Members of the audience greeted the news by chanting “Save the cats!” according to the New York Times, a reference to the reports that some of the Haitian migrants who have been forced on the Ohio town’s suffering residents have been snatching and eating house pets, accounts that have driven Democrats and their stooges in the media completely berserk.

“In Springfield, they’re eating dogs,” Trump said during last week’s ABC News debate against Kamala Harris and the two leftist moderators. “They’re eating the cats. They’re eating … the pets of the people that live there, and this is what’s happening in our country, and it’s a shame.”

Trump’s remarks unleashed a torrent of hate from the media which has already egged on two would-be assassins, but they also spawned a cultural phenomenon with “Eat the cat” being remixed in videos and going viral on social media.

“I’m leading in Ohio by like 15 points, a lot,” Trump continued. “And we’re gonna take care of Ohio and we’re gonna take care of Colorado and we’re gonna take care of every single state in the union. They’re all under siege, a lot of people don’t talk about, but think of this. So, the mayor of Springfield, and I think he’s a very nice person, but instead of saying we’re getting them all out, he says very simply, ‘We’re hiring teachers to teach them English.”

He was referring to Springfield Mayor Rob Rue whose city is being overrun by foreigners who won’t assimilate, are straining resources to the breaking point, and may be eating cats, but said that Trump visiting would be a problem.

“It would be an extreme strain on our resources. So it’d be fine with me if they decided not to make that visit,” Rue said at a Tuesday news conference as national attention continues to be focused on Springfield.

Trump also addressed the illegal alien invasion of New York, particularly the Big Apple which has been one of the top locations that the “newcomers” have chosen to settle in… a sanctuary city that has bent over backward to accommodate them.

“You got to get rid of these people. Give me a shot, you will have a safe New York within three months … for every New Yorker being terrorized by this wave of migrant crime, Nov. 5 will be your liberation day because you are living like hell,”  he told the crowd.
