Former President Donald J. Trump capped off a busy day in New York by dropping by Fox News for an appearance on “Gutfeld!” Wednesday night, sharing his thoughts with host Greg Gutfeld and the rest of the crew during the lively hour.
Earlier in the day, the Republican nominee played to a packed house at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island where a capacity crowd of around 16,000 patriotic supporters turned out to hear him speak three days after a second failed assassination attempt.
During his surprise visit to the hit late-night show, Trump discussed a wide range of topics, including Sunday’s foiled attempt to kill him while he was enjoying an afternoon on the links at his South Florida golf club.

“How’s your golf game?” Gutfeld asked.
“Well, I haven’t been thinking about it too much lately,” deadpanned Trump. “I always said golf is a dangerous game.”
“The Secret Service did a great job,” Trump said, crediting the eagle-eyed agent with saving his life. “They saw the barrel of a gun, big gun, and it came out through bushes, and how many people would see that? You know, he really was very exceptional to have done it and we’ve been going through a lot of it, we are getting very good at it but I do not want to say that too loudly because we don’t want to, want to bring any jinxes along.”
He also praised the woman who saw the thwarted shooter Ryan Routh fleeing from Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach and got a picture of his license plate, sending it to law enforcement who soon captured the would-be assassin on I-95, calling her a “heroine.”
Trump later said of the two failed attempts on his life, “Fortunately so far I’ve been very lucky or something is greater than all of us,” glancing upward at God. “Something is up there, someone is up there maybe watching over us.”
“I think he’s voting for you,” Tyrus quipped.
Trump also shared his regret about the ABC News debate in which the Disney-owned network tilted the tables against him in what turned out to be a three-against-one with the two moderators joining with Kamala Harris to unfairly tag team him.

“I think my only regret is that I wanted to be elegant, and I didn’t want to go after the anchors. I wish I did, in a way,” he told the host.
“I was very unfairly treated by the anchor. I’m not fans of those guys anymore – and his hair was better five years ago,” Trump said, taking a jab at Muir. “That happens with the clock.”
“They didn’t correct her once, and they corrected me- everything I said, practically,” Trump said of the moderators who repeatedly fact-checked him while allowing Harris to lie with impunity.
“If I were Winston Churchill – he was a great debater, by the way, and an elegant debater. If I were Winston Churchill, they would say, ‘Well, he was okay, but he wasn’t special tonight,'” he said of the biased media.
