CT father, who pulled kids from school after ‘Pride’ video, rallies American dads: ‘If they want to mess with our kids… they’ll have to go through us’

A Connecticut father of four says the principal at Wells Road Intermediate School did folks “a favor” when he showed his elementary-aged students a Pride Month video without bothering to obtain their parent’s permission.

“Now people know there’s a danger targeting our kids,” Kyle Reyes told BizPac Review.

Reyes has pulled his children from the Granby School District after the teachers allegedly played for the young students a so-called “educational” video from “Universal Kids,” titled “Pride to Me.”

“What Pride means to me is nobody can tell you what to do,” little Jasper states in the video, his “They/Them” pronouns proudly displayed under his name.

“I have dolls,” he continues. “I love my dolls. Boys can play with dolls, too.”

“I have two moms,” young Mavis says. “I call them ‘Mommy’ and ‘Mama.’ What Pride means to me is just being myself and standing up for what I believe in.”

Simon prefers “He/They” pronouns.

“Pride means you should be able to be free,” Simon says. “All my life, I never felt like a boy, and I don’t really feel like a girl, so I’d rather be both.”

And Reyes says this is “just the tip of the iceberg.”

“This isn’t just about a video,” Reyes told BPR. “The video is the tip of the iceberg that we were able to see…which exposed the massive threat that’s been floating under the surface. The principal did us a favor here. Now people know there’s a danger targeting our kids.”

Reyes has seized upon that “favor” and launched a website, encouraging parents to “Stand with American Dads. Stop the Groomers.”

“If they want to mess with our kids… They’re going to have to go through us,” AmericanDads.org vows.

“If you have school age children currently enrolled in a public school district you need to hear this message – no matter where in America you are,” Reyes says on the website.

He explains why he is removing his children from the Granby School District.

“We’ve decided to pull our children out of the district after a propagandistic video discussing gender identity was shown to 3rd to 5th graders. I watched the video and I was alarmed,” Reyes says. “Children used in the video, and I say used deliberately, seemed to be selling and even recruiting fellow students to join the pride and transgender movement.”

According to Reyes, “some children were sent home with a ‘puberty kit.'”

“If you’re wondering what that is, one parent claimed her son was given a kit filled with pantiliners and maxi pads,” he explains, adding, “Teachers and school administrators have not only crossed the line, they’ve erased it.”

He notes that incidents such as this are occurring across the nation, in Republican communities.

“We’re talking about a school district that’s in a Republican community which has been secretly reading kids books about everything from transgender crayons to racist police officers and lesbian moms,” Reyes writes. “A school district that’s protecting bullies and penalizing children who are victims.”

“It’s not just our school,” he states. “It’s not just secretly happening under our noses.”

In a call-to-action, Reyes announced that he has teamed up “with Constitutional Rights PAC in an effort to endorse and fund the best anti-woke candidates for school boards across America.”

The American Dads website features an opportunity to sign a pledge to “protect our kids now.”

The pledge asks parents to affirm that “a traditional education comprised of reading, writing mathematics, science, and history should be implemented and that critical race theory and gender ideology should be barred from the classroom” and to promise to “engage yourself at the local level participating in school board hearings, monitoring school boards, and ideologically driven teachers” and to “lawfully challenge crt, gender ideology and other predatory doctrines.”

“Parents can actually go review schools and let everybody know how woke they are,” Reyes told CBN News. “Let everybody know what’s being shared in terms of books.”

He urged people to visit AmericanDads.org.

“We’re going to help get parents into the fight for the local Boards of Education, who are going to flip these values and bring them back to the values to preserve and protect our kids,” he said.

He is also advocating for cameras in the classrooms.

“The left sure did fight to put body cameras on police officers,” Reyes told BizPac Review. “Why aren’t we fighting to put body cameras in classrooms? Especially if there’s nothing to hide. Make the footage only accessible internally by parents or taxpayers who come to the school to review it.”

“And don’t tell me we can’t afford it,” he added. “If we can magically find billions of dollars to send to Ukraine or for pork belly projects, we sure can find it to protect our kids.”

Finally, Reyes called for anyone involved in spreading this information to children to “resign” from the school system.

“Anyone who isn’t the parent of these kids who feels it’s appropriate to talk to little kids about sexuality – they are a direct threat to children and shouldn’t be allowed near a school,” Reyes told BPR. “The principal and any faculty involved needs to immediately resign.”
