By all accounts, this week’s second Republican primary debate was a complete trainwreck, and moderator, Fox News host Dana Perino was humiliated for attempting to frame the event as an episode of “Survivor.”
Turns out, there may be an explanation for Perino’s perceived failure to take the debate process seriously.

Just one week before she asked Republican candidates to write down who among them they believed should be “voted off the island,” George W. Bush’s former White House press secretary was hosting a panel for the Clinton Foundation’s Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) annual conference and praising “the amazing” Hillary Clinton.
According to The Dossier’s Jordan Schachtel, “Perino hosted and participated in a session titled, ‘Journalism on the Front Lines: How Supporting a Strong, Free Press Strengthens Democratic Societies Worldwide.'”
“You are here to see the amazing Secretary Hillary Clinton,” Perino told attendees before greeting Clinton with a warm handshake.

“The CGI sponsors list included some of the most depraved entities on the planet, including Pfizer, the parent company of Moderna, the lady who helped to launder Hunter Biden’s artwork, and plenty of additional unindicted criminal entities and individuals,” Schachtel reports. “The speakers included Bill and Hillary, in addition to Biden Administration cabinet officials like Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and other notable figures like Pope Francis, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, Cindy McCain, Ashley Judd, Matt Damon, and many more household names.”
“It’s unclear if Perino was compensated for hosting the panel session,” he adds.
Fox News columnist David Marcus was confused by Schachtel’s objection to Perino’s appearance at the CGI conference.
“I don’t understand the problem here. Are we not supposed to socialize with Democrats?” he asked.
“If you don’t understand the problem,” Schachtel shot back, “I can’t help you here.”

For many, Perino’s presence at the Clinton event is proof that Fox News is nothing more than “controlled opposition” for the reigning “uniparty.”
