Dee Snider won’t bow to woke mob, even after pride group dramatically ditches him over trans kids comments

Singer/songwriter Dee Snider may hate Trump supporters, but thankfully, he doesn’t hate biology.

As previously reported, the Twisted Sister lead singer went viral earlier this week when he posted a tweet pushing back on the transgender orthodoxy that’s accepted as truth over on the far left.

But predictably, Snider’s willingness to think for himself prompted a massive backlash from the far left — so much so that the group behind San Francisco’s upcoming Pride parade decided to drop him from their lineup.

The group announced the drop in a Facebook post published Wednesday.

“San Francisco Pride was on the cusp of announcing Twisted Sister’s ‘We’re not gonna take it’ as the unofficial rallying cry of this year’s SF Pride Parade & Celebration, with the band’s frontman Dee Snider performing the song on our center stage. Dee has always been a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights,” they wrote.

“However, when we were notified about the tweet in which Dee expressed support for Kiss’s Paul Stanley’s transphobic statement, we were heartbroken and angry. The message perpetuated by that tweet casts doubt on young trans people’s ability to self-identify their gender,” they added.

They further noted that, based on this, they’d “mutually agreed to part ways” with Snider.

In response, Snider didn’t bend the knee like most do when confronted by the “woke” mob. He doubled down, albeit in a respectful way. Specifically, he took to Facebook to stress that the LGBT movement needs to stop being so insulated that it can’t accept even the slightest criticism.

He started the post by recounting what got him in trouble in the first place.

“I’ve recently stated I do not believe young children are ready to decide their gender allocation. I believe their choices should be supported and accepted by their parents, but I do not think kids have the mental capabilities to make rational, logical decisions on things of a magnitude that will affect them for the rest of their lives. I do not believe they are mentally developed enough,” he wrote.

He then got to his core point.

“I am a proud moderate. I drive a Tesla and a Hummer. I have too many guns but strongly support intelligent gun control. I have four children yet fight for a woman’s right to choose. I am a motorcycle riding environmentalist. I am a heterosexual who proudly supports LBGTQIA+ rights,” he wrote.

“To me (and I believe to many of you) none of these things are mutually exclusive. The Transgender community needs moderates who support their choices, even if we don’t agree with every one of their edicts,” he added.

“For some Transgender people (not all) to accuse supporters, like me, of transphobia is not a good look for their cause. Don’t reject people who are willing to march, sing and stand with you just because we don’t perfectly see eye-to-eye. We are still your allies,” Snider concluded.

So, I hear I’m transphobic. Really?

The unexpected post triggered an outpouring of appreciation and support from others who share his views on modern transgender orthodoxy.

Snider’s response to being confronted by the “woke” mob differs like light and day from the response of KISS frontman Paul Stanley. As previously reported, Stanley started the drama by posting a tweet questioning the legitimacy of letting children pursue sex-change operations.

It was in response to this that Snider posted a tweet agreeing with him:

Unlike Snider, Stanley has since completely bent the knee.
