Defiant transgender in women’s locker room was convicted of violently beating ex-wife, and more…

A man who was recently spotted in a women’s locker room at a Los Angeles gym is, surprise, surprise, a convicted woman beater.

Alexis Black, formerly Grant Freeman, made headlines earlier this week after singer Tish Hyman complained about his presence inside the Beverly Center Gold Gym’s women’s locker room.

Hyman alleged that he’d exposed his penis and harassed the women, including her, in the locker room.

Hyman’s complaint led to HER membership being revoked:

According to the New York Post, Black pleaded guilty in 2022 to beating his then-wife Alexis Freeman so badly that she suffered a compound fractured jaw.

“Kyle Grant Freeman caused serious physical harm to the victim,” court documents reviewed by the Post read. “The victim suffered a compound fractured mandible, which resulted in her needing surgery.”

When he later changed his name, he then basically stole his ex-wife’s first name, Alexis.

His past history also includes convictions for domestic violence, drug trafficking, and resisting arrest.

This longtime criminal and deviant has since claimed that Hyman’s allegations against him are bogus.

“I had a towel around me,” he told TMZ. “The truth in the moment is far from what she’s portraying. I feel like this had to happen in order for people to learn — you cannot put a trans man with trans women.”

The insinuation appeared to be that Hyman is a man cosplaying as a transgender woman, which is false. She’s an actual woman.

Hyman, meanwhile, told TMZ that Black wasn’t the first transgender person she’d encountered in the gym’s locker room.

She revealed that she’d run into numerous trans people there over time, and that each encounter had made her feel afraid and uncomfortable. Hyman also alleged that the trans people in the women’s locker room were always rude and threatening, with some even calling her a “b–ch.”

“Tish says she got fed up with the interactions and the lack of response or protection from Gold’s Gym … leading to her epic rant and confrontation that got her kicked out of the Beverly Center location,” TMZ notes.

As to her specific encounter with Black, she described it in a tweet.

“Today he saw me walk into the women’s room followed me in and called me a b-tch,” she wrote. “I ran out into the locker room crying and screaming. This is why we can’t be quiet because people need to know what’s happening. Thank you to the men who helped me today.”

Black, a “somatic healer” and fitness coach, reportedly came out as transgender in 2024 and then started hormone replacement therapy at the start of this year.

“For me, being trans isn’t about becoming — it’s about remembering. I didn’t just get a new body or a new way of thinking — I got myself back,” he wrote on Instagram.
