Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi quickly backpedaled after finally telling the truth, showing the world that getting elected is the only thing that matters.
It started when Pelosi sat down with Donny Deutsch, who expressed concern about Abdul El-Sayed’s stance on Israel’s right to exist. Pelosi not only agreed with him, but unequivocally stated that such a view is not shared by congressional Democrats as a whole.

🚨 Pelosi rips Abdul El-Sayed, says his views on Israel are “more than concerning”:
“This new person in Michigan, we’ll see if he gets elected.” https://t.co/zRtjdLvfPx

“Yeah, when you say Israel doesn’t have the right to be a Jewish state, that’s antisemitic as far as I’m concerned,” Deutsch said.
“Who says that?” Pelosi asked.
“[New York City Mayor Zohran] Mamdani has said that,” the host started.
“I’m talking about Congress,” Pelosi clarified. “I can’t account for Mamdani.”
“El-Sayed has said that,” he continued. “That he doesn’t believe they should be a Jewish state. That’s concerning.”
“It’s more than concerning; it’s wrong,” the former speaker said with conviction. “It isn’t a reflection of the Democrats in the Congress of the United States. This new person in Michigan, we’ll see if he gets elected to the Congress, but the mayor, bless his heart, I hope he succeeds as mayor, but I don’t agree with some of the things he’s said.”
It didn’t take long for Pelosi to take to X with one of the most obvious backpedals in the history of politics.
Look:
Make no mistake: Democrats are united in a big blue wave For The People. To lower costs, protect healthcare and defend our democracy, we must elect a Democratic House and Senate.
I urge everyone across America to support our Democratic Senate nominees, including @AbdulElSayed.
Every seat matters. Every vote counts. Let’s win together! -NP
