A Delta passenger booked for Seattle was caught on video having one of the best or worst days of his life.
Viral footage shows the man identified as Skylar Jay Barr, 26, driving wildly around a tarmac after stealing a motorized Alaska Airlines tug at Orange County’s John Wayne Airport on October 6.
Barr reportedly crashed it, then attempted to steal an American Airlines lavatory truck but was thwarted by airport police.
He was charged with theft, trespassing, and vandalism, but the cause of his outburst hasn’t been disclosed, and it remains unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved.
The security breach had at least one pilot asking air traffic control questions and caused a 10-minute closure at the gate. Thankfully, flights resumed quickly with no notable delays.
