The media is up to its old tricks again, and they can’t seem to understand why President Donald Trump has so little regard for them.
CNN is citing the customary anonymous sources to claim that ICE agents are being pushed to make more illegal immigrant arrests ahead of the midterm elections.
According to the liberal network, leadership allegedly “pressured” agents to increase daily arrests by 1,000 people, pushing arrests to 3,000 per day, “despite GOP unease.”
“They were also instructed to try to reach 19,000 arrests per week, which accounts for the fact that there are generally fewer arrests over the weekend and not as many officers in the field, one of the sources said. The source stressed that the agency is trying to push officers to arrest as many people as possible for deportation,” CNN reported.
CNN thinks this is a scandal. I think it’s the best news I’ve read all week.
According to CNN, ICE leadership just told agents nationwide to ramp back up to 3,000 arrests a day. That’s 1,000 more illegal aliens off our streets every single day, with 26 days to go before the midterms.
August was already a record month at about 51,000 arrests, and instead of easing off for the election they’re stepping on the gas. CNN wrote the whole thing up around “GOP unease,” as if Republicans should be nervous about keeping their promises.
This is exactly what we elected President Trump to do. Keep going.

Homeland Security denied the reporting, saying there are “NO quotas on arrests.”
“Under President Trump and Secretary [Markwayne] Mullin’s leadership, ICE has been supercharged to find, arrest, and deport illegal aliens from the United States using every lawful tool available. This is promises made promises kept in action, and the results speak for themselves,” a DHS spokesperson said.
CNN quoted weak-kneed GOP Sen. Jim Justice, from West Virginia, expressing concern that ICE agents are getting “carried away in their job.”
“Before you know it, you get people that get carried away in their job and whatever it may be, and all of a sudden, then you’re dragging people away that have lived on your street corner for 15 years, and I don’t know that we need to be doing that stuff,” the West Virginia lawmaker said last month.
At this stage, we know their game well. A major outlet uses anonymous sources to make harmful claims about the Trump administration and the rest of the industry runs with the story as if it were the gospel, broadcasting it far and wide. When the inevitable correction comes, it gets a fraction of the airplay that the original story got.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
CNN: “ICE is enforcing immigration law again. This is a crisis.”

It’s exactly what we elected him to do. Democrats are just scared that if President Trump hits his goal, they will lose so many congressional seats in the 2030 census.

Will the arrests include the Commies blue states and local governments like California, Illinois and New York?

They have to ramp it up, because if the Democrats win everything, the focus will be completely different.
