Talk about delusional, President Biden claimed during a Saturday fundraiser at the home of New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) that his disastrous performance at Thursday night’s presidential debate resulted in more undecided voters leaning his way over President Donald Trump.
If true, the claim is a clear indictment of the state of undecided voters in America, given the post-debate panic over Biden’s cognitive struggles before millions of television viewers.

“I didn’t have a great night, but I’m going to be fighting harder,” Biden told those in attendance, according to NJ.com.
“Research during the debate shows us converting more undecided voters than Trump did, in large part because of his conduct on Jan. 6,” he claimed. “People remember the bad things during his presidency.”
The remark certainly would explain why Democrats and their media allies have invested so heavily in perpetuating the myth that the Jan. 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol that got out of hand was actually an insurrection.
Many political observers saw Thursday night’s debacle as the most consequential presidential debate in U.S. history, resulting in discussions about Biden being replaced as the Democratic nominee dominated the news cycle going into the weekend.
Bulwark reporter Marc Caputo reported that Biden’s reelection campaign also claimed that $33 million had been raised since the debate.

“Team Biden-Harris has raised over $33M since Thursday, of which $26M is from grassroots donations. Nearly half of our grassroots donations were from first-time donors to the campaign this cycle. Thursday was our best grassroots fundraising day ever,” the campaign said in a statement.
Then again, truth is the first casualty when it comes to Team Biden.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from skeptical social media users, as seen on X:

It’s no surprise that the man who seemed confused during the debate is also unclear on how undecided voters would react to his performance.

He also claimed that border patrol endorsed him.
