Dem declared ‘unhinged and deranged lunatic’ for suggesting press should stop fact-checking Biden

Former Senator Claire McCaskill is big mad at America’s newspapers.

After The New York Times audaciously reported that “President Biden has made some misleading statements during campaign and public events in recent weeks as he discussed taxes, industry, jobs and more,” the Missouri Democrat went on MSNBC and demanded that the media stop fact-checking Biden and focus on Donald Trump who “vomits lies.”

“I move that every newspaper in America quit doing any fact checks on Joe Biden until they fact-check Donald Trump every morning on the front page,” McCaskill stated.

“It is ridiculous that the New York Times fact-checked Joe Biden on something,” she fumed. “I mean, [Trump] vomits lies… and it’s just ridiculous that the New York Times is doing a fact-check on Biden while they’re numb to the torrent of lies coming out of Trump’s mouth.”

Yup.

Because why would anyone care if the President of the United States is gaslighting Americans about such trivial things as the state of the nation’s economy?

Take, for example, the CHIPS and Science Act.

Biden claimed this month that it “attracted $640 billion in private companies’ investments that are building factories, creating jobs in America again.”

That, Angelo Fichera reported for The Times, was untrue.

“Estimates of private investments spurred by the CHIPS and Science Act, which gave billions to the chip industry, do not come in at $640 billion,” he wrote. “By some measures, it is a fraction of that: One estimate by the Semiconductor Industry Association puts the figure at about $220 billion.”

“Mr. Biden was referring to a White House estimate of private investments made in various industries over the course of his presidency,” Fichera explained, “not only in response to the CHIPS legislation but also as a result of the Inflation Reduction Act and the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure law.”

“That estimate tabulated that there had been $649 billion worth of private investments in multiple 21st-century industries, including clean energy and electric vehicles,” he continued. “The White House says it arrived at the figure by calculating projects announced in public sources.”

In response to the former senator’s outrageous demand, Fox News “Outnumbered” host Kayleigh McEnany decided to “fact-check the so-called facts of Claire McCaskill.”

McEnany scrolled the many times the New York Times has fact-checked Trump.

“It’s exhausting,” she said.

McCaskill’s demand is an extension of the Democrat’s belief that “the only lies that matter are the ones coming out of Trump’s mouth, and that everything out of his mouth is a lie,” co-host Emily Compagno said.

“They will never see [Biden] maintains over and over again concepts upon which he bases policies and his entire marketing campaign, including buying votes, on falsehoods,” she stated.

On X, conservative commentator Steve Guest called McCaskill “unhinged.”

It was a view shared by many.

“What an unhinged and deranged lunatic Claire McCaskill is,” stated one user, who noted that the former senator was demanding “fascism.”

“Geezus,” the user wrote, “these Progressives are evil people.”
