The Democrats staged their “No Kings” rallies over the weekend, and although the turnout fell short of the mass national revolt against President Donald J. Trump that had been hyped, the events were a magnet for some of the worst elements in society.
While no actual violence broke out as some feared, there was plenty of the usual inciting rhetoric and depraved messaging that Democrats now specialize in, including one prominent doctor and Democrat state lawmaker who showed up at a rally to display a sign with a sick death wish for Trump.
Connecticut State Senator Saud Anwar, a physician from Pakistan, sparked social outrage for the sign that read “Cholesterol, do your job!” along with drawings of a bucket of fried chicken and a burger and fries, which, while not naming Trump specifically, left little doubt who he was referring to.
Connecticut deserves leaders who put people first—not those who promote dangerous rhetoric. Yet today, Democrat Senator Saud Anwar chose to perpetuate a harmful narrative instead of condemning it. Republicans reacted to the “absolutely disgusting” message with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) summing it up in a post to X. “Hate and violence define today’s Dems. Tragic,” he wrote.

Others called for his medical license to be revoked, something unlikely to happen in deep blue Connecticut.
“Connecticut Senator Dr. Saud Anwar, a physician, owes his constituents, the medical community, and the nation a full and public apology. How dare he call for our nation to have its’ President become gravely ill or die,” one user wrote.
At another rally, this one in Chicago, a man called for leftists to murder ICE agents, a rant that was caught on video.

“You gotta grab a gun, we gotta turn around the guns on this fascist system. These ICE agents gotta get shot and wiped out,” he shouted, a dangerous call to action at a time when leftists are increasingly turning to violence against federal immigration enforcement agents, and are being tacitly encouraged to do so by elected Democrats and their minions.
Just last week, disgraced ex-CNN personality Don Lemon urged non-whites to go out and buy guns, implying that they should then use them on ICE.

“Black people, brown people of all stripes, whether you’re an Indian-American or a Mexican-American or whoever you are. Go out, in your place where you live, and get a gun legally. Get a license to carry, legally. Because when you have people knocking on your door and taking you away without due process as a citizen, isn’t that what the Second Amendment was written for?” Lemon asked during a podcast interview with New York Times columnist Wajahat Ali.
Such rhetoric is making an impression on the more unstable elements of the Democrat base, with one example being a man who was arrested after boasting that he planned to firebomb ICE agents at the “No Kings” rally in New York City.
54-year-old David Cox, of Newark Valley, NY, may be wishing that he’d kept his mouth shut instead of telling a stranger at an Oswego Kwik Fil station that he “intended to harm federal agents,” police said, according to the Daily Mail.
Cox allegedly told the person that he had weapons in his trunk and was headed to the Big Apple to “fight ICE agents,” with the bystander promptly reporting the threat to police who tracked his vehicle to Brooklyn, where he was arrested without incident.
A police spokesperson told the outlet that Cox “was charged with making a terroristic threat, false report of terrorism, and making a threat of mass harm.”
