Dem House hopeful pledges to turn ICE facility into a ‘prison for American Zionists’ that would also perform castrations

A Democrat House candidate in Texas was condemned over a social media post pledging to turn an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility into a “prison for American Zionists” that would also perform castrations.

In a recent Instagram post, congressional hopeful Maureen Galindo, who’s running for the seat in the Lone Star State’s 35th congressional district, went off the rails, claiming that her runoff opponent is “being paid to put Jews and Mexicans in concentration camps via Zionist trafficking networks” and promoting the idea for the radical transformation of the Karnes ICE Detention Center where illegal aliens have been held.

In the incendiary post, she said she would turn the “Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking.”

“It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists,” Galindo added, speaking in the third person.

The housing activist and sex therapist took first place in March’s Democratic primary and is facing Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy Johnny Garcia in the runoff.

Galindo was condemned for the grossly anti-Semitic remarks by her fellow Democrats.

“We need leadership in both parties willing to stand up and call out hate wherever it rears its ugly head,” Democrat Texas State Rep. James Talarico, who is running for the U.S. Senate, told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in a statement. “We need leadership in both parties willing to stand up and call out hate wherever it rears its ugly head.” His campaign said it will not stump with Galindo if she wins.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) slammed his party’s candidate while also claiming that her candidacy is being artificially boosted by MAGA Republicans.

“House Republican leadership must immediately cease propping up this antisemitic candidacy, pull spending in the race, and forcefully condemn these comments. This vile language by her is disqualifying and has no place in American politics, and certainly not in the Democratic Party. To embrace and uplift a fringe candidate with antisemitic — and extremely dangerous — rhetoric and views in order to win an election is beyond the pale,” said “Dollar Store Obama” and DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene in a joint statement.

“MAGA extremists should be ashamed of themselves,” they added.

“This person should never be allowed in any political office,” Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) wrote in a post to X.

How over the line was the take? Even AOC is screeching about it.

Galindo has drawn fire over other anti-Semitic takes, including that “billionaire Zionists” control trafficking networks in San Antonio and South Texas and that Hollywood is run by Jews.

For all of their outrage over Galindo’s remarks, the same Democrats haven’t seen fit to similarly condemn Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner over having an actual Nazi tattoo.

The candidate has denied that she is an anti-Semite.

“I’m not antisemitic. In fact, my last serious relationship was with a Jewish man,” Galindo said during a recent Texas Public Radio appearance, according to Fox News.

“I’m against Zionist Jews. When I said that the Jews who own Hollywood are doing this, do all Jews own Hollywood? No. The Zionist Jews do. The Zionist Jews own our media, our banks, and all of our politicians,” she proclaimed.
