Dem lawmaker warns Elon Musk a future lawfare campaign is forthcoming

The Trump administration talks about the weaponization of government agencies to target political opponents in the wake of the lawfare Democrats waged against President Donald J. Trump, but has yet to hold anyone accountable.

The result of that inaction will be that once the party is back in power, they’ll do it all over again against any perceived political enemies — just ask Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-Va.), who epitomizes the reality that Democrats have not learned their lesson.

Subramanyam appeared on the left-wing propaganda network MSNBC and suggested that Elon Musk, who is Public Enemy #1 on the left for exposing waste and fraud in the federal government — which is arguably the lifeblood of Democratic activism — has committed crimes in his efforts through DOGE.

Host Symone Sanders, a former Biden administration official, set up the Democratic lawmaker nicely in reinforcing that Musk must be dealt with to ensure that DOGE doesn’t pay any future dividends.

“Let’s talk about Elon Musk. You know, I’ve seen a lot of headlines, Congressman, over the last 24 hours. Elon Musk’s exit: he is leaving Washington. But I think that Elon Musk is just finished. I have not heard a lot of Democratic elected officials talk about the data,” Sanders said in a manner that strongly suggested a rehearsed line of attack.

“Elon Musk and his DOGE peeps, if you will, they installed servers within the White House complex,” she continued. “They were integral within the office of presidential personnel, which has tentacles out into every single agency. They are — they have inroads into every single agency. Now the DOGE was in there, and the servers, I don’t think, have left the White House. So what are Democrats going to do about the data? Are you all going to follow up on this?”

Eagerly taking the bait, Subramanyam let it be known that Musk can anticipate a future lawfare campaign to come his way when Democrats are in power again.

“Yeah, I heard he’s on some image repair tour. I think the best way for him to repair his image is to reverse all the damage he did to our government, to the American people,” the liberal ideologue said. “Yeah, those servers are a big issue. We want to continue to investigate that. And certainly, I think some crimes may have been committed over the past 3 or 4 months, and they are going to come to light one way or another, even if it takes us getting into power again, but we will subpoena people and find out.”
