Dem-run city urges residents to snitch on those who break out sparklers on the 4th

Not only is the city of Alexandria, Virginia, apparently not celebrating America’s 250th anniversary on the Fourth of July, but the DC suburb is also encouraging residents to rat on fellow citizens who may choose to let loose a few fireworks.

Hell, even a sparkler.

“Fireworks are illegal in Alexandria, including sparklers. Report illegal fireworks by calling 311. Our show is next weekend. Join us for the City Birthday celebration on July 11 at Oronoco Bay Park. Free admission,” the Democrat-dominated city said on its official X account.

Alexandria, which is short drive across the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge from Washington, D.C., states on its webpage that the city “will celebrate its 277th and the USA’s 250th birthday on Saturday, July 11, 2026.”

(Emphasis ours.)
