Not only is the city of Alexandria, Virginia, apparently not celebrating America’s 250th anniversary on the Fourth of July, but the DC suburb is also encouraging residents to rat on fellow citizens who may choose to let loose a few fireworks.
Hell, even a sparkler.

Alexandria, which is short drive across the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge from Washington, D.C., states on its webpage that the city “will celebrate its 277th and the USA’s 250th birthday on Saturday, July 11, 2026.”
