Bipartisanship proved a non-starter for leftists anew after one party-line-bucking senator saw fit to appear on the podcast of a Trump administration official’s wife.
Time and again, Democrats have shown that lockstep is the only way to walk on their side of the aisle. As a result, Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman’s (D) willingness to hold to his own convictions has found him repeatedly at odds with his own party, a point exacerbated by the upcoming premiere of his interview with podcaster Katie Miller.
Posted to her “The Katie Miller Podcast” TikTok, the wife of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller revealed the lawmaker to be her next guest with snippets of their discussion ahead of the full video’s release on Tuesday.
Evidently, merely agreeing to talk to Miller was enough to trigger widespread outrage among talking heads, including former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan, who reacted to the brief compilation of clips: “The single worst decision the American left made in recent years — and I include myself here — was defending, promoting, believing in this guy. The absolute worst. An absolute charlatan and liar and wannabe Republican.”

Worth highlighting, the video includes Fetterman talking about his small apartment, a program he watches with his wife, his challenge to obtain clothes that fit him, and a laughing response to a question on party affiliation.
Despite the position of pundits, the senator’s peers appeared — at least publicly — less prepared to give up on the 2022 darling of corporate media.
“We should listen to him. He won in a tough state,” NOTUS reported Vermont Sen. Peter Welch (D) expressing. “We’re quibbling about somebody who speaks his mind and votes with us over 90 percent of the time. I think we should show some respect.”
Likewise, Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz (D) contended, “I think we should have a big enough and diverse enough party to not just tolerate that, but hope for it and work for it,” having referred to Fetterman as a “good human and a good Democrat.”
Of course, the point remained that, while members of Congress worried over where the balance of power would reside — especially with Fetterman up for re-election during the next presidential cycle — the outspoken rabble that constituted much of the Democrat base remained adamantly opposed to anyone who did not align wholly with their worldview.
While radicals and those suffering with Trump Derangement Syndrome climbed over one another to criticize the senator for nothing more than an open dialogue, an analysis of their reaction perhaps best captured the moment, stating, “@SenFettermanPA is the man @TheDemocrats SHOULD be standing behind to convince Americans they don’t hate us and want to destroy the country. But their base has crossed the line of insane and like all people with fatal mental decline, they don’t know it. They’ll simply expire.”

I’m a Pennsylvanian and I genuinely exclaimed “oh my God” when I saw this. He has absolutely no shame. I can’t vote him out fast enough.

You mean he’s not a communist. Isn’t that what you mean? He’s not a communist like you and the rest of the Democratic Party. I don’t even like Fetterman, but I do like the fact that he’s not a communist like the rest of you monolithic pieces of crap. 💩
