Dems NOW want Epstein files to be released in stunning flip-flop

Congressional Democrats have all of a sudden begun barking for the release of the Epstein files amid the blowup between President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk.

After years of primarily staying quiet about the files, Democrats left and right began calling for their release on Thursday in response to Musk’s stunning suggestion that Trump is named in them.

“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files,” Musk tweeted that afternoon. “That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

Musk posted the tweet in anger after a war of words erupted between him and the president, allegedly over their disagreements regarding the “Big, Beautiful Bill” that Trump wants passed.

And just like that, Democrats who’d loudly and belligerently hated on Musk a thousand times+ in the recent past started retweeting and promoting him as a means to attack the president.

Even the Democrat Party’s official X account got in on the action.

Look:

Democrat Reps. Stephen Lynch and Robert Garcia likewise sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel demanding they “immediately clarify whether this allegation [about Trump being in the Epstein files] is true.”

“We write with profound alarm at allegations that files relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have not been declassified and released to the American public because they personally implicate President Trump,” the duo wrote.

In the letter, Lynch and Garcia demanded a timeline of when exactly the Department of Justice will declassify and publish all of the Epstein files. The lawmakers also asked why they haven’t been released in full yet.

The two congressional Democrats also requested a description of the role the president had personally played in reviewing the files, as well as a list of all the Trump administration officials involved in releasing them.

Lastly, the Democrats asked why a previous Epstein files release in February had contained so many “significant redactions.”

The White House has, for its part, dismissed all this hullabaloo.

“Oversight Democrats are engaged in another baseless stunt that bears no weight in fact or reality,” White House spokesperson Harrison Fields told Axios.

“These are the same left-wing lunatics who neglected their oversight duties regarding the Biden administration’s lawless actions and concocted hoax after hoax on President Trump during his first term. No one takes them or their petty letters seriously,” he added.

Meanwhile, prominent civil rights attorney David Schoen has claimed there’s no legitimacy to the rumors about Trump and Epstein:

Overall, Democrats are greatly enjoying this feud between the president and Musk, with the moonbat leftists at The New Republic even explicitly calling for Democrats to just “let Trump and Elon fight.”

“Democrats are understandably giddy about the battle royale happening between Trump and Musk, who may be even more addicted to posting than he is to ketamine,” the leftists wrote. “Don’t be tempted to step in. Definitely don’t try to back Elon. Just sit back and watch.”
