Dems run WILD with misleading Karoline Leavitt quote to fuel their gullible base

The shameless, unprincipled propagandists on the left have been smearing President Donald Trump with a blatant lie.

The lie is that his primary concern/priority right now as president is the building of the ballroom at the White House.

The lie was conceived by Acyn Torabi, a senior digital editor at the far-left agitprop factory known as MeidasTouch. He created the lie by taking a clip of White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt speaking completely out of context:

If you were to just read Torabi’s caption, which is what most harebrained leftists did, you’d immediately think Leavitt said that the president currently only cares about building the ballroom.

Only if you were to watch the whole clip would you know the full story.

“In addition to the ballroom and the Rose Garden patio, is the president looking at any other renovations or significant kind of projects here at the White House?” the clip began with a White House reporter asking.

“Not to my knowledge, no,” it continued with Leavitt replying. “But he’s a builder at heart, clearly. And so his heart and his mind is always churning about how to improve things here on the White House grounds. But at this moment in time, of course, the ballroom is really the president’s main priority.”

And so it isn’t that the president only cares about building the ballroom — it’s that within the context of building things at the White House, his only concern at the moment is the ballroom. Big difference!

Torabi’s propaganda nevertheless managed to seemingly fool thousands of prominent leftists, from California Gov. Gavin Newsom on down to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

There’s a lot more where that came from. Others who uncritically shared Torabi’s propaganda included New York Gov. Kathy Hochul; Reps. Marcy Kaptur, Diana DeGette, Jason Crow, and Adam Smith; Sens. Mark Kelly, Mazie Hirono, and Amy Klobuchar; and many, many more!

Responding to these fools, some critics blasted them for easily falling prey to leftist propaganda. Other critics accused them of having known better and purposefully/maliciously sharing the propaganda.

“The question was about Whitehouse renovations and if the President had any more renovations planned. So yes you literally just made it up,” one critic noted to Sen. Schumer.

It sure seemed like it.

This is one of probably a million examples of leftists maliciously distorting the truth so they can score political points against President Trump, a man they’ve had the nerve to accuse of being a chronic liar.
