Pam Bondi puts Lori Lightfoot, Dems on notice over targeting ICE agents

Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a message to former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot over the Democrat’s threat to “unmask” ICE agents in what amounts to a campaign of fear and intimidation targeting federal officers tasked with enforcing U.S. immigration laws.

Bondi responded to Lightfoot’s remarks about creating a portal to track ICE and CBP agents during an interview on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime,” warning the radical Democrat to “preserve anything that she has done.”

“This is the first time I’ve seen the Lori Lightfoot video was just now on your show,” Bondi said. “She will be getting a letter from us tomorrow to preserve anything she has done as well, to make sure that she’s not violating the law. It appears she is. You cannot disclose the identity of a federal agent — where they live, anything that could harm them.”

Lightfoot said she and other attorneys are creating a nonprofit called “The ICE Accountability Project” during an appearance on FOX32 Chicago’s “Chicago Report.”

“We start the process of unmasking the agents,” Lightfoot said. “They are on public property out in the open. We have an absolute right under our constitution to be able to document what’s happening.”

“Every single one of those agents — height, weight, hair color. They wear their vest in a particular way, they’re wearing insignias, even the masks that they wear, the shoes that they wear, the cars they are driving. We have a right to compile that information and put together a profile of each of those agents who have allegedly committed a crime,” she said.

Bondi also named Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D), Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and others — the party seems to understand that the successful deportation of illegal immigrants may very well relegate the Democratic Party to a minority status for years to come.

“Pritzker, same ball game. Nancy Pelosi got a letter today from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, so did Brooke Jenkins – that DA in San Francisco,” Bondi told host Jesse Watters. “We told them: ‘Preserve your emails, preserve everything you have on this topic.’ Because if you are telling people to arrest our ICE officers, our federal agents, you cannot do that. You are impeding an investigation, and we will charge them.”

Gov. Pritzker created the Illinois Accountability Commission to track ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and document “unlawful attacks” by these agents, and Pelosi threatened ICE agents with arrest.

“It is important to note that California law protects communities and prevents federal agents from taking certain actions here that we have witnessed in other states. While the President may enjoy absolute immunity courtesy of his rogue Supreme Court, those who operate under his orders do not. Our state and local authorities may arrest federal agents if they break California law — and if they are convicted, the President cannot pardon them,” she said in a joint statement with Rep. Kevin Mullin (D-Calif.)
