Nancy Pelosi is having a rough weekend.
The former House Speaker was reportedly booed by football fans in Baltimore as she arrived for the Chiefs vs. Ravens game, and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a national Muslim advocacy group, is angry at her for suggesting that pro-Palestinian protestors pushing a ceasefire in Gaza are actually puppets of Russian President Vladimir Putin and suggesting that the FBI should investigate them.
According to Reuters, CAIR viewed Pelosi’s remarks, made during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Dana Bash, as “unsubstantiated smears” that dehumanize the Palestinian people.
Bash asked Pelosi whether she believed Democrats would be hurt in the 2024 elections by President Biden’s controversial policy in the war in Gaza.
That’s when the California Democrat explained that it wasn’t Biden’s policy or the antisemitic supporters of radical terrorists who were the problem, it was Russia.
“For them to call for a ceasefire is Mr. Putin’s message, Mr. Putin’s message,” Pelosi said. “Make no mistake, this is directly connected to what he would like to see.”
“Same thing with Ukraine,” she continued. “It’s about Putin’s message.”
“I think some of these protesters are spontaneous, and organic, and sincere,” she said. “Some I think are connected to Russia. Some financing should be investigated, and I want to ask the FBI to investigate that.”
NEW: Someone went a little far today. Pelosi suggested that some pro-Palestinian protesters who are calling for a cease-fire in Gaza are spreading a message that is beneficial to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Reuters, “Pelosi’s comments marked the first time a prominent U.S. lawmaker has accused Russia’s leader of backing U.S. protesters calling for a ceasefire.”
On X, Pelosi’s comments were seen as more proof that she is “deranged.”

“Since 2016, the primary Dem Party tactic has been to accuse their adversaries – especially those who dissent on its war policies – of being Kremlin agents, Putin apologists, Russian assets, etc.,” the journalist said. “Now they’re using this McCarthyite playbook on their own voters to protect Israel.”

Nancy Pelosi says that pro-Palestinians protesters and people calling for a cease-fire in Gaza are serving Putin, and calls on the FBI to investigate these protesters to see if they have a Kremlin connection.
