Florida Governor Ron DeSantis celebrated his second term by dancing with his beautiful wife Casey, stunningly decked out in gold, and their three children as the calls for him to run for the presidency get louder and more strident, reaching a fever pitch.
His second Inaugural Ball hosted 4,000 people in Tallahassee, Florida. DeSantis danced with his elegant wife to the Van Zant song “Sweet Florida” as hors d’oeuvres were served and a brass band played. His adorable children, Madison, Mason, and Mamie, appeared to have had a wonderful time at the event.
Florida’s first lady echoed Jackie Kennedy and Melania Trump, wearing a gold embellished ballgown reminiscent of Disney princess Belle from “Beauty and the Beast.” The girls wore beautiful white dresses. Father and son were decked out in tuxedos. For all the world, the DeSantis tribe looks presidential.
Many loved the event, but you had your usual detractors such as Bernice, 79, who carped that it was “too crowded,” a “fire hazard,” and “COVID heaven,” according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the tax collector for Franklin County claimed that the “enthusiasm of the crowd was the best I’ve ever seen for any inauguration.” Security was extremely tight at the event.
As DeSantis, 44, took his second oath of office, he made it crystal clear that he will make education and family issues a top priority during his term and he warned the “woke” to stay away from Florida, according to the Daily Mail.

“We seek normalcy, not philosophical lunacy,” DeSantis declared during his speech. “We will not surrender to the woke mob. Florida is where woke goes to die.”
“Florida is leading the nation,” DeSantis asserted. “We are No. 1 in these United States in net in-migration. Florida is the No. 1 fastest-growing state. We are No. 1 in new business formations. Florida is No. 1 in tourism. We are No. 1 in economic freedom. Florida is No. 1 in education freedom – and we rank No. 1 in parental involvement in education. Florida also ranks No. 1 in public higher education. This is a record we can all be proud of. And we are far from done.”
The conservative governor was also adamant that he will promote “family-friendly” policies to defend children from people who want to “rob them of their innocence.” DeSantis is also not shrinking from taking on the federal government.
“The federal government has gone on an inflationary spending binge that has left our nation weaker and our citizens poorer, it has enacted pandemic restrictions and mandates – based more on ideology and politics than on sound science – and this has eroded freedom and stunted commerce,” he charged, taking direct aim at the Biden administration’s failures.

DeSantis hammered the administration’s “reckless” border protocols and “energy policy that has crippled our nation.”
“[The federal government] wields its authority through a sprawling, unaccountable and out-of-touch bureaucracy that does not act on behalf of us, but instead looms over us and imposes its will upon us,” he continued. “The results of this have been predictably dismal.”
“When the world lost its mind – when common sense suddenly became an uncommon virtue – Florida was a refuge of sanity, a citadel of freedom for our fellow Americans and even for people around the world,” DeSantis commented off-the-cuff on Tuesday.

DeSantis was joined by his wife Casey who wore an incredible tea-length mint-green dress complete with an attached cape and mid-arm white gloves. She was breathtaking. Their three children were also at the swearing-in.

The DeSantis clan has also known sadness and tragedy. They have been very open about Casey DeSantis’ fight with breast cancer which she has won.
Less known is that the Florida governor lost his younger sister Christina, who died at age 30 in London from pulmonary thromboembolism while her British film editor fiancé, Stephan Pasiewicz, held her hand in 2015, according to the Daily Mail. Ron DeSantis does not talk about that loss.
