Billionaire leftist Mark Cuban complained to the media this week about Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) boss Elon Musk’s alleged “ready, fire, aim” approach to cutting government.
“Ready, fire, aim is no way to govern, particularly when the you know what, you know, rolls downhill onto the small-to-medium-sized communities and cities, where all of a sudden who knows how many people are losing jobs, who knows how many companies have to close because their grants have been cut, and who knows the impact on that community in terms of services they’re going to be able to offer, raising taxes,” he said to The Hill.
“And so I don’t think that they’ve fully done the analytics on all this to understand the impact. And if that is too big a problem in too many locations, then you could see an impact on the overall economy. That’s my biggest fear,” he added.

Cuban’s attack on Musk’s government-cutting ways prompted criticism from those who say he doesn’t have a clue what he’s talking about.
“Remind us when u were in government?” one critic wrote. “Ready, fire, aim is the only effective to dismantle entrenched organizational rot. As someone who has made a career of transforming organization, true disruptive change only happens this way.”

The Hill repeating unworthy comments from people who are irrelevant to our current situation. Mark Cuban? Remember? No smart women around Trump? Him? Yeah, right!

One of the critics above referenced the time last November that Cuban foolishly told the hosts of “The View” that there were no “smart women” around then-GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women,” he said. “Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them, and, you know, Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.”
The remarks spurred so much anger that he had to “clarify” and then later outright apologize.
Look:
Let’s clarify something. This is what I said during a conversation about why Nikki Haley was not active in his campaign

When I said this during the interview, I didn’t get it out exactly the way I thought I did. So I apologize to anyone who felt slighted or upset by my response. As I said, it wasn’t about trump voters, supporters or employees. Current or former

Some of the anger came from Trump himself.
“Mark Cuban, a really dumb guy, who thinks he’s ‘hot stuff’ but he’s absolutely nothing, is now out there saying that I don’t surround myself with strong women,” he wrote on Truth Social.
“Actually, he is very wrong, I surround myself with the strongest of women – With the understanding that ALL women are great, whether strong or not strong,” he added.
During his interview this week with The Hill, Cuban did at least have the decency to condemn the recent rash of attacks against Tesla.
“I think blowing up Tesla dealerships and blowing up cars, that’s just wrong,” he said. “That needs to stop immediately. That accomplished nothing.”
Cuban was highly critical of Trump last year as he traveled the country promoting then-Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.
However, after Trump ultimately won the 2024 presidential election, Cuban did congratulate him for winning “fair and square.”
Congrats @realDonaldTrump. You won fair and square.
Congrats to @elonmusk as well. #Godspeed
