Trump floats compensation for J6 political prisoners

President Donald J. Trump floated the possibility that the Biden regime’s J6 political prisoners could be financially compensated for their hellish experience, an idea that is guaranteed to send Democrats into apoplectic fits of rage.

The president made his remarks during an interview with Greg Kelly of Newsmax that aired Tuesday night, emphasizing that those who were hunted down like dogs by their own government and jailed for participating in the election protest at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, had been “treated very unfairly” under his predecessor.

On his first day in office, Trump pardoned more than 1,500 people who were persecuted by the Biden administration, ending the legal nightmare that shattered their lives, one that was cheered on by Democrats and their lackeys in the media.

“There’s a lot of talk about that,” Trump said when asked about a compensation fund for the J6 prisoners. “A lot of the people that are in government now talk about it because a lot of the people in government really like that group of people.”

Trump said that those who were unjustly imprisoned by Biden and his thugs were “patriots” who had been treated “very unfairly.”

“A group of people went down there, peacefully and patriotically, remember that,” he said.

“This proclamation ends a grave national injustice that has been perpetrated upon the American people over the last four years and begins a process of national reconciliation,” Trump said in an Inauguration Day proclamation on the day he signed an executive order pardoning nearly all of the J6 protesters and commuting the sentences of a handful of others.

The news broke late, so few Democrats lashed out, but one who did was Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI), who demanded that his party have a say in whether the persecuted individuals are compensated for their pain and suffering at the hands of the federal government.

“We should vote on this. They should demand a vote on this,” he wrote, sharing a clip from a notorious leftist video manipulator.

Leftist X accounts are already using the term “reparations” to describe any J6 compensation.

Democrats as a whole may want to avoid that description, or admit how toxic their idea of stealing money from white people to give to blacks who were never slaves has become.

Also during the Newsmax interview, Trump spoke kindly of Ashli Babbitt, a military veteran and supporter who was gunned down in cold blood by Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd during the so-called “insurrection” at the Capitol.

“Ashli Babbitt was a really good person who was a big MAGA fan, Trump fan, and she was innocently standing there,” he said, adding that he would “take a look at” taking action against Byrd, who was cleared of wrongdoing in Babbitt’s death.

Democrats are going to go absolutely berserk after they wake up and see that Trump floated the idea to compensate the victims of Biden’s authoritarianism, who couldn’t have been treated worse if Putin were in the White House.
