Disney peddling woke indoctrination via cartoons despite hemorrhaging subscribers

Disney continues its “woke” indoctrination of American children through cartoons despite hemorrhaging viewership and being forced to slash 7,000 jobs, pandering to leftists while estranging families with immoral, racist, and biased content.

The “House of Mouse” continues to see its stock price nosedive but it doesn’t seem to give them pause concerning their programming. For almost a century, Disney was seen as family-friendly, bringing wholesome, happy content to children via television, video games, action figures, and theme parks. Not anymore.

Disney has wildly skewed to the left, pushing progressive politics at every availability to children of all ages, regardless of sexual content especially since Disney+ launched.

Due to its leftist bent, Disney+ lost more than two million subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2022 alone, according to Gizmodo.

In an effort to be politically correct, Disney has remade classic characters and removed imagery from rides and movies. But many feel they have gone way too far with the “woke” revisionism.

Billionaire investor Nelson Peltz is a staunch critic of Disney, ripping into the company for “excessive spending and mismanagement.”

And then there is the new Disney+ show “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,” which allegedly pushes “anti-white propaganda.” That particular cartoon features children rapping about slavery reparations, claiming, “Slaves built this country.”

The creator of the show, Bruce W. Smith, who co-directed “Space Jam,” first floated it in 2001. He rebooted the cartoon this year on Disney+. Smith says he is stunned and thrilled by the controversy.

He tweeted, “Why the fear? We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to stoke the conversation.”

Then he retweeted a comment of a video showing the kids peacefully protesting when cops in riot gear showed up.

“Republicans are losing their minds, calling on Americans to Boycott Disney because of this scene from a Disney cartoon The Proud Family,” the tweet stated. “They are literally mad that kids are learning that slaves helped build our nation. What the hell are they afraid of?”

In another flop, Disney saw the cartoon “Strange World” tank in theaters in late 2022. Many referred to the slogan, “Get woke, go broke” after it bombed.

The cartoon included the voices of Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Gabrielle Union, and Lucy Liu, and featured “Daily Show” contributor Jaboukie Young-White as the voice of Disney’s first openly gay character.

“If I want to teach my children about sex and or sexual preferences at 7 and 8 I would do it in my home. I don’t need a Disney movie to help me out with it. STOP making everything sexual, its unbelievable,” one reviewer wrote on Rotten Tomatoes.

One person tweeted, “First Lightyear and now Strange World. Disney and Pixar releasing woke flops, one after the other. How many box office bombs before Disney learns?”

Lightyear bombed in its opening weekend last summer following a massive controversy over a lesbian kiss.

Disney is also pushing plus-size films about body dysmorphia.

“Reflect” follows the story of a young plus-size ballet dancer named Bianca, “who battles her own reflection, overcoming doubt and fear by channeling her inner strength, grace, and power.”

Not even “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves” is safe from the company’s wokism. They are taking a different approach to the dwarves and Snow White will be cast as a Latina, according to the Daily Mail.

“Literally no offense to anyone, but I was a little taken aback when they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White – but you’re still telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage said.

“Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me. You’re progressive in one way and you’re still making that f***ing backward story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f*** are you doing man?” he added.

Disney’s push for gay issues has also been off the charts.

For “Aladdin,” the company changed some words in the opening they thought would be offensive to Arabs.

“Oh, I come from a land / From a faraway place / Where the caravan camels roam. Where they cut off your ear / If they don’t like your face / It’s barbaric, but hey, it’s home,” the opening song asserts.

In the 2019 remake the lines were changed to, “Oh, I come from a land / From a faraway place / Where the caravan camels roam. Where it’s flat and immense / And the heat is intense / It’s barbaric, but hey, it’s home.”

“The Lion King” was also hit as racist because its cast is primarily white while the hyena voices came from Whoopi Goldberg and Cheech Marin. James Earl Jones, who is black played Mufasa, king of the pride. When a live version of “Lion King” came out, they made the cast predominantly black.

Disney also placed racism warnings on a number of its decades-old movies as they were released on its streaming service in October 2020. Some of those included “The Aristocats,” “Lady and the Tramp,” “Peter Pan,” “Dumbo,” “The Jungle Book,” and “Swiss Family Robinson.”

“This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it, and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together,” the warning reads.

“The Muppets” also comes with an alert that warns of “offensive content” and can only be seen on an adult account.

The fallout from the wokeness of the “House of Mouse” continues as it plummets from its lofty perch as the leader of family entertainment in the name of wokeness.
