‘Do NOT apologize’: We regret to inform you that Drew Barrymore is racist for … Frolicking in the rain?

Now, of all the crazy content that Libs of TikTok has posted – and there has been quite a bit – this might just be the most illogical take of them all.

TikTok user “@amushroomblackly” has created beef with actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore for the heinous crime of *checks notes* frolicking in the rain.

Yes, you read that right.

Watch:

The video starts out with Barrymore gleefully running in the rain, smiling, laughing and generally having a fantastic time. It’s enough to melt even the coldest of hearts.

Unless you’re a TikTok user who apparently finds this to be a racist act.

After showing a blissful Barrymore, the video cuts to a black woman in horn-rimmed glasses looking not unlike a Catholic school headmistress who found out you put a thumbtack on her seat. It doesn’t get better from there.

“You and I both know that you are capable of enjoying the rain and frolicking freely without filming it and then posting it to TikTok,” the woman chastised. “Now you’ve just co-signed, okay, you’ve just co-signed at least three million, eight-point-five by eleven front and back, people who just go out of their way to disrespect and dismiss the boundaries that black creators have set, and now you’re one of those people.”

Because in case you didn’t know, apparently one black person on TikTok can say you can’t frolic in the rain as a white person, and the entire race is just supposed to know, understand, and respect that as if that “boundary” has any validity.

Duh.

“So, I guess my question would be why? Why is it so important to all of you to treat us like we don’t matter?” the lady concludes, tapping her nails for emphasis.

At no point in this video does she explain how black people are supposed to feel disrespected by Barrymore’s joy in precipitation. At no point does she back up her argument with any sort of evidence.

She responded to several confused people with an “explanation” for why she was so upset, which is honestly even more confusing than the first video. Apparently, her whole point is that black people did it, so white people can’t do it.

Maybe?

Luckily, there is at least a portion of people on social media who haven’t totally lost their minds:
