‘Does US still have rule of law?’ Masked teens ransack Asian eatery in Queens

The latest example of why people are fleeing New York in droves can be seen in a video clip making the rounds online depicting more than a dozen teens ransacking a Queens restaurant, leaving some people to wonder if the rule of law is still relevant in America.

It’s not clear when the incident took place, but the teens are seen swarming Fish Village, a casual dining facility that serves Cantonese cuisine, upending tables and throwing chairs and other furnishings while other diners and staff look on in utter amazement.

Yiatin Chu, president of Asian Wave Alliance and cofounder of PLACE NYC, shared the video on Twitter.

“This video is going viral on WeChat. Fish Village, a restaurant in College Point, Queens was ransacked by a gang of masked kids in hoodies. We’ve fallen so low that there’s no expectation of consequences for this horrific attack on private property,” she tweeted.

Democratic politicians have turned NYC jails into revolving doors in their efforts to reduce or remove altogether “racist” bail policies, with woke prosecutors frequently reducing charges if not dropping them altogether.

“Just a normal evening of ‘recreation’ in ‘No Bail / No Jail’ New York. To be clear: Fish Village is a Chinese restaurant in a heavily Asian part of NYC,” tweeted social media user James Higgins.

The teens were all wearing hoodies and masks to conceal their identities, and with crime surging in the Big Apple, the NYPD told businesses last week during a press conference they should require customers to take off their face masks as a “condition of entry,” according to local PIX 11.

“People are coming up to our businesses, sometimes with masks, sometimes masks, hoods and latex gloves, and they’re being allowed, they’re being buzzed in and allowed to enter the store and we have a robbery,” Maddrey said. “We are asking the businesses to make this a condition of entry, that people when they come in, they show their face, they should identify themselves.”

This being a far cry from the city’s severe lockdown requirements during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from social media users, who are left to wonder if there is such a thing as the rule of law anymore:
