Lo and behold, the Trump administration has proven there is some bite behind what’s been persistent barking up until this point.
Fired CNN anchor Don Lemon was arrested by federal authorities on Thursday night for his role in the storming of a Minnesota church service earlier this month. The arrest took place after a grand jury was empaneled.
Attorney General Pam Bondi, who has had the hounds yipping at her heels for some time to hold people accountable, posted on X: “At my direction, early this morning federal agents arrested Don Lemon, Trahern Jeen Crews, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lydell Lundy, in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.”

More details soon.

Lemon’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, confirmed his client was taken into custody in Los Angeles, where he was covering this weekend’s Grammy Awards. Lowell appears to be as much of a Trump-hating zealot as Lemon, according to a statement he put out.
“Instead of investigating the federal agents who killed two peaceful Minnesota protesters, the Trump Justice Department is devoting its time, attention and resources to this arrest, and that is the real indictment of wrongdoing in this case,” he said. “This unprecedented attack on the First Amendment and transparent attempt to distract attention from the many crises facing this administration will not stand. Don will fight these charges vigorously and thoroughly in court.”
Unfortunately, MAGA appears to have been denied a Don Lemon perp walk video, but here is a video from Fort, who was also arrested after a religious service was shut down as a result of the protesters, getting served a full dose of FAFO:

The race hustle mafia was up in arms over the arrest, prompting a reminder from Matt Walsh that Lemon “actively participated in a federal crime” and that he was stupid enough to film it.
Don Lemon actively participated in a federal crime. It’s on camera. He filmed it . He went with the mob, joined in what they were doing, and actively and verbally encouraged and affirmed their actions the entire time. He deserves to be thrown in prison. He is not above the law. https://t.co/KV6ANrMd5v

CNN’s Jake Tapper wasted no time running to the defense of his former colleague, ignoring the grand jury action to focus on the actions of activist judges:
Judge Schiltz says Lemon and his producer “were not protestors at all; instead, they were a journalist and his producer. There is no evidence that those two engaged in any criminal behavior or conspired to do so.” https://t.co/kUa10UoNw0 pic.twitter.com/KoxULg0Y4E

Popular podcaster Megyn Kelly responded to the 1st Amendment cries to say. “For those saying this is criminalizing journalism, journalists don’t get a pass when breaking the law just [because] they have a mic.”
As seen below, Kelly explained if she had pulled off a similar stunt under a Democratic administration, she would certainly be arrested.
For those saying this is criminalizing journalism, journalists don’t get a pass when breaking the law just bc they have a mic. If I accompanied ppl storming an abortion clinic harassing/scaring/“traumatizing” the crying women while saying “But I’m a reporter!” I would absolutely…

Actor James Woods was in rare form with his response to the arrests, reminding us all that he once dubbed Lemon a “dingleberry on the ass of American journalism.”
As you all know, I started this whole thing when I called arrestee Don Lemon a “dingleberry on the ass of American journalism” on @MegynKellyShow.
And now the great satirist, @drspago (PICKLES017), finishes the job with a cherry on top. Meme of the year! pic.twitter.com/wqr8TQ51oX

In a separate post, Woods added, “So much of Lemon’s arrest is perfect. After several activist judges failed to do their duty, a grand jury of citizens indicted Don Lemon on a serious act, the terrorizing of children and others praying at church services.”

Here’s a sampling of other responses to the story, as seen on X, including Scott Jennings summing up the apparent position of the Democratic Party:
The current position of the Democratic Party is that as long as you are holding a cell phone or a camera you can literally commit any crime you want and face no consequences.

Don Lemon is nearly 60 years old.
After DECADES in the public eye at the highest levels of media, he is now operating as a social media influencer for Leftist agitators.
Deeply pathetic.

Don’t raid a church and violate federal law and then you won’t get arrested.
I don’t understand why everyone is so shocked when one of these agitators gets arrested.
No, you can’t assault a federal agent.
No, you can’t storm a church.Just don’t do illegal things…

Let’s make something crystal clear: Don Lemon wasn’t indicted by Donald Trump.
He was indicted by a federal GRAND JURY.
These two things are not the same.
