Donald Trump Jr. opened the Turning Point USA conference in Arizona over the weekend and he called on conservatives to stop turning the other cheek in the battle against the hard left, which now controls the Democratic Party.

“We’ve turned the other cheek and I understand the biblical reference, I understand the mentality,” said former President Donald Trump’s eldest son and namesake. “But it’s gotten us nothing. It’s gotten us nothing while we’ve ceded ground in every major institution in our country.”

The anti-Trump cabal was quick to react to the comment, claiming that Trump Jr. was encouraging conservatives to ignore the Bible teachings to be peaceful.

Trump began his speech with a focus on President Joe Biden’s dismal performance , saying it comes as no surprise as America cedes its energy independence and its place on the global stage.

“Everyday when I wake up now, I feel like we must have hit bottom already,’ Trump Jr. said. “And that’s the one place where I said Joe Biden has overperformed. I thought it would take him at least four years to destroy America. He’s crushing it folks, but in a bad way. He’s a dominant force in blowing it.”

He highlighted a number of areas where Biden has flip-flopped since the campaign, from claiming he didn’t oppose fracking to claiming that he would get tough on Russia, only to give Russian President Vladimir Putin a pipeline.

Addressing today’s “woke-ism,” Trump referenced the transgender swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania, pointing out the the male athlete who now identifies as a woman beat his female competition by 38 seconds in one meet.

“There are women that work their a**es off… They spent their lives trying to reach the pinnacle of success in a sport only to be beaten by 38 seconds in the 500 freestyle,” he said. “Thirty-eight seconds in swimming is a long time, folks.”

“Where are the feminists? Where are they? They’re strangely silent on this one,” he added, saying “it will only get worse.”

At one point in his speech, Trump Jr urged the crowd along as they began chanting “Let’s go Brandon!”

Trump told those gathered that they are the “frontline of freedom,” eliciting a hearty cheer.

“We are the front line of freedom,” he said. “We are the front line of liberty. And if we band together, we can take on these institutions. But we’ve got to do it together. That’s were we’ve gone wrong for a long time.”

“If we get together, they cannot cancel us all,” the former president’s son said. “This will be contrary to a lot of our beliefs because I’d love not to have to participate in cancel culture. I’d love that it didn’t exist. But as long as it does, folks, we better be playing the same game.”

“We’ve been playing t-ball for half a century, while they’re playing hardball AND cheating,” Trump said of the left.

It was at this point that Trump commented about turning the other cheek not working out all that well over the years.

“We’ve given up academia… we gave up pop culture,” he said, before adding sports to the tally as well, calling these areas “the grooming grounds for our children.”

“They’ve taken over the upper echelons of law enforcement — FBI, CIA. You don’t have to look much further than the last couple of years. You don’t have to look much further than the last couple of months of who in America gets prosecuted… Even worse, they’ve taken over the upper echelons of our military,” Trump said.

He then cited the debacle in Afghanistan, where hundreds of Americans were left behind, abandoned to the whims of the Taliban.

Stressing that the political pendulum has swung so far in the opposite direction, Trump said “the mainstream left have lost their minds” and that’s why it’s critical for the right to stay together, assuring the young crowd that they are not alone, citing the popularity of the “Let’s go Brandon” chant.

“You know there’s another way to say that,” he said, as the crowd began chanting the slogan. “But I will not condone that kind of behavior from you fine young individuals.”

Trump Jr. said it was encouraging to see some Republicans starting to fight back and take the slings and arrows, but added, “Until they do, Trump is our guy.”
