Doocy presses White House spox on Biden health czar’s proposed two beer limit

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre thinks President Joe Biden may defer to “the experts” but wouldn’t give a direct answer about a beer drinking limit for Americans.

Biden’s spokesperson seemed taken off-guard when she was questioned during a press briefing about recent reports that the president’s alcohol czar was recommending Americans drink no more than two beers a week.

“I have another question that you probably were not expecting. Does President Biden want to limit Americans to two beers a week?” Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre who had just told the reporter that she had “missed” him while he was gone.

“Where’s this coming from? Maybe I didn’t miss you so much,” she replied. “Where is this? Where is this coming from?”

“Dr. George Koob, who is the Director of National Institute Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, says the U.S. may soon follow Canada and recommend just two beers a week,” Doocy explained. “How do you guys think that’s going to go over?”

“Let me tell you what, I’m not going to get involved in that question right there. I have no idea. I’ve not seen the data. I cannot speak to this. I will leave it to the experts and not weigh in,” Jean-Pierre then said.

“So, if the experts say two beers a week, that’s okay with President Biden?” Doocy pressed.

But the White House spox would not follow through with an answer.

“I will leave it to the experts,” she said. “I’m just not going to comment on that.”
