White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre bristled at questions about illegal migrants being bussed into Washington, D.C., claiming “they are being used” by Republicans politically.
During Thursday’s White House press briefing, Jean-Pierre addressed Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s request for the National Guard to help deal with an influx of migrants to the area as they are being bussed from border towns in Texas and Arizona. But the press secretary was left trying to defend herself when Fox News reporter Peter Doocy held her feet to the fire as she sought to blame the crisis on Republicans.
Jean-Pierre initially tried to evade Doocy’s question by referring him to the Department of Defense, adding that the Biden administration has been “in regular touch” with Bowser, and claiming that Republicans “are using migrants as a political tool,” which is “shameful” and “wrong.”
“There is a process for managing migrants at the border. This is not it, what they’re doing currently,” she continued, reiterating her attack on Republicans.
Jean-Pierre: “Republicans are using migrants as a political tool.”
Doocy: “So the White House’s preference would be for small towns in Texas and Arizona to take care of these migrants and not DC.”

Doocy quickly called out the hypocrisy.
“So the White House’s preference would be for small towns in Texas and Arizona to have to take care of these migrants rather than a large metropolitan city like Washington, D.C.?” he asked.
“That’s not what I said,” Jean-Pierre shot back.”They are sending migrants to big cities on purpose, using them as a political ploy.”
“Republicans are using migrants who are coming here for, who knows, because they are dealing with humanitarian issues back in their country. They’re coming here for a better life and they are being used…by Republican governors,” she continued to push back as Doocy pressed for clarity.
The Fox News reporter asked why President Joe Biden wouldn’t just respond by closing the border and avoid the overrunning of American cities.
On Thursday, Bowser asked for the National Guard to help “indefinitely” with the “humanitarian crisis” being faced by D.C. as 4,000 illegal migrants have arrived in her “sanctuary” city.
So far 4,000 migrants have arrived to DC since the buses started arriving April 13th. Mayor Bowser is suggesting DC armory as a processing center. @wusa9

GOP Governors Greg Abbott of Texas and Doug Ducey of Arizona have responded to Biden’s flagrant disregard of America’s borders by providing for thousands of migrants illegally pouring into their states to be transported to Democrat-run cities like D.C. and New York City.
Bowser contended that illegal immigrants are being “tricked” into coming to her city during an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday.
But Texas Gov. Abbott suggested that now “Washington D.C. finally understands what Texans have been dealing with every single day, as our communities are overrun by thousands of illegal immigrants.”

Ducey agreed with the mayor that the issue is a crisis but noted that the answer is to close the border.
If the Mayor really wants to address the issue, she can join us in calling for President Biden to take action at the root of the problem, and secure our southern border.

Jean-Pierre’s deflecting and blaming of Republicans was shredded on social media.
Yeah, because sending to them to red cities is not a political ploy.

They’re sending them to sanctuary cities, isn’t that what sanctuary cities are for?

Only clowns can blame the Republicans for the millions that have come over the last couple years. Clowns don’t care what you think, don’t care if they are caught red handed, don’t care if they lie, the are CLOWNS! #clownsrunninggovt
