E. Jean Carroll slammed with resounding ‘fraud’ accusations after spewing celebratory spending spree fantasy

An attorney for E. Jean Carroll had to clarify that her client’s distasteful gloating with an MSNBC host was all in jest as the interview drew widespread criticism.

The author and advice columnist was yucking it up with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Monday after her eye-popping win in a defamation suit against former President Donald Trump. Carroll’s crass joking about going on a spending spree with the $83.3 million in damages the federal jury ordered Trump to pay her seemed to make her lawyers a bit uncomfortable on the air.

Carroll launched a veritable victory tour with multiple media appearances in which she gloated about the win and delivered mocking takes such as those with Maddow who asked her if any of the money would be used to “help shore up women’s rights.”

“Do you know what that might be, what that might look like?” the host of “The Rachel Maddow Show” asked.

“Yes, Rachel! Yes!” an excited Carroll replied.

“I had such, such great ideas for all the good I’m gonna do with this money,” she said, launching into a performance that journalist Megyn Kelly predicts could win Trump the election.

“First thing Rachel, you and I are gonna go shopping!” she declared.

“We’re gonna get complete new wardrobes, new shoes, motorcycle for Crowley,” she said, referring to attorney Shawn Crowley.

“A new fishing rod for Robbie,” she continued, about her other attorney Roberta Kaplan. “Rachel, what do you want? A penthouse? It’s yours, Rachel! Penthouse in France? You want France? You want to go fishing in France? No?”

While the attorneys seemed to laugh along a bit nervously, Maddow was beside herself with glee.

“That’s a joke,” Crowley interjected with a grin.

“Although if me fishing in France could do something for women’s rights. I would take the hit. I would take one for the team,” Maddow offered.

Carroll had been touting her retaliation plans in other media appearances as well, including on ABC News where she vowed to use the money on something Trump “hates” after saying she did not want to “waste money.”

“I do have an idea. I’d like to give the money to something Donald Trump hates,” she told George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America.”

“If it will cause him pain for something to give money to certain things — Perhaps a fund for the women who have been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump,” she suggested.

Carroll’s irreverent tone with Maddow on Monday in light of rape allegations she made against Trump, who has repeatedly denied all the claims,  earned her scathing criticism on social media.

“Sexual assault victims don’t usually respond like this,” journalist Andy Ngo posted in response to the video clip.
