Actor Randy Quaid calls Biden gangster, ‘the real Whitey Bulger’; Psaki reminds us it’s all about Trump

With the walls beginning to close in on Joe Biden, actor Randy Quaid likened the embattled president to a notorious underworld figure while his former spox Jen Psaki defended the difficult task faced by her successor to avoid saying anything that would “piss off” the Justice Department.

The White House has been engulfed in a firestorm as reports of classified material stashed away at Biden’s home and former office have forced Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel and even staunch allies like former Mueller henchman Andrew Weissman are criticizing Biden for his handling of a situation that is rapidly spiraling out of control.

Psaki appeared on Friday’s edition of “Morning Joe” where the MSNBC contributor discussed the bad situation that Biden’s mounting woes have placed current White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in as she faces a suddenly reinvigorated press corps that is rapidly losing tolerance with her hostile demeanor and evasive answers.

Responding to a question from co-host Mika Brzezinski drawing on her perspective as Biden’s former mouthpiece and how she’d deal with the pressure, Psaki said., “in moments like this, what we’ve seen transpire over this week, you’re basically picking in a White House between crappy options. Right? And that is what they’ve been doing presumably for the last few months.”

“So on one hand, to your point, it would make the press secretary job much easier every day if they could go out and just say, here’s what we bet happened. This was sloppy staff work. These documents went in there inadvertently. They sort of said that, you know, from that from Sauber,” she added, referring to special counsel to the president Richard Sauber. “But, you know, this, Biden didn’t even know about any of these documents. So this is a non-issue. What, that would make it easier for the press secretary.”

“The worry they have there, Mika. And they are very not just influenced by the lawyers, the lawyers in the White House in a case like this, make a lot of the decisions or have a very loud voice in the decision making, which can be hard from the communications side,” she continued. “And the lawyers are probably saying to them in a moment like this, if you make assertions like that and even anything is wrong, that could be a problem. Right? Or we’re also going to make a, piss off the Justice Department. We don’t want to do that. So that’s one you know, that would be an easier way for the press office.”

“What they’ve clearly decided to do is to not say much. Right? They’ve said a minimal amount because they’re trying to not anger the Justice Department. But those options are crappy, right? Neither of them are great, and neither of them make for an easy and smooth communications strategy,” Psaki added.

Quaid, the veteran actor who is best known for his role as Clark Griswold’s kooky Cousin Eddy in “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” and other movies featuring the characters, posted a short video of a menacing Biden likening him to the vicious Boston mobster Whitey Bulger.

James “Whitey” Bulger’s murderous criminal career spanned several decades when as the head of the Winter Hill gang he controlled South Boston’s underworld, racking up an extensive rap sheet including extortion, narcotics trafficking, money laundering and at least 19 murders, landing at the top of America’s most-wanted list after he fled the city in 1994 and went into hiding. He was captured in 2011 and sent to prison where he would spend the rest of his days until he was murdered by fellow prisoners using a padlock wrapped in a sock and a shiv, nearly gouging his eyes out.

Strangely enough, there is a Bulger connection to the Biden family.

James Bulger, his infamous uncle’s namesake served as chairman of the Thornton Group, a Boston-based financial advisory firm that teamed with Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca, in one of the president’s son’s shady business ventures.

Psaki later dismissed the idea that the purloined classified materials will be a lasting political problem for Biden, tipping Democrats’ hand that they will once again make former President Donald J. Trump, J6, and the threat to “democracy” the centerpiece of the 2024 elections simply because it resonates with the simpletons who continue to be manipulated to vote Democrat despite their own economic self interests due to constant fearmongering about Trump.

“Democrats were able to hold on to the Senate and really surprise people in the House because they were defenders of democracy. Right. And they were running against these election deniers and people who would be sympathetic to January 6th rioters,” she said. “That is, I think, the message they will continue to run on. It’s also, on the politics. I think it’s also important to note here, and maybe this speaks to the country. I have no idea.”

“But the the the Mar-a-Lago documents, well, as horrifying as it is, Trump’s handling of them, it’s not clear or I have not seen data to suggest that that is the driving issue that has driven Republicans and independents away from him. They have run away from him because he’s an outlier on, some of them, on election denial and also because he’s a loser. Right?” Psaki added.

“So this argument that this very different case of Biden’s classified documents is going to be a political problem for him doesn’t, hasn’t really even played out on the other side. And I think that’s important to note, because the difference, as you said, is who’s defending democracy. And the answer to that is pretty clear,” she concluded.
