Elderly man blamed for ruthlessly driving through anti-Israel protesters. Footage tells VERY different story…

Black Lives Matter redux hit the streets of Minneapolis as video portrayed an elderly driver as a violent protagonist against anti-Israel protesters surrounding his car and attempting to wrench him out of it.

Sunday, radical activists knowingly took to what they described as “the city’s busiest intersection” to shut down traffic blocking the paths of motorists with vehicles and protesters waving Palestinian flags while having a “die-in.” As witnessed at protests and riots throughout the nation in recent years, one driver’s apparent attempt to navigate the blockade was met with violence, including from a city council candidate.

Zach Metzger, a noted rabble-rouser from the infamous “fiery, but mostly peaceful” summer following the 2020 death of George Floyd while in police custody, was front and center documenting after protesters had chased an elderly man down the street where he had obstructed by a blockade of parked cars.

In multiple videos, shared across social media, edited clips of the unidentified driver were interspersed with commentary by Metzger as he portrayed the man as violent and attempting to attack peaceful rally-goers calling for a ceasefire with a bladed instrument as organizers claimed, “A hostile driver threatened protesters with his car and a box cutter. He was disarmed by protest security but then he drove through the crowd.”

Though the driver’s initial movement into the crowd was not available in the full clip captured by drone footage above the intersection, what was apparent was that he only briefly stepped out of his vehicle after protesters began to kick at it and slam their flags and signs on it as they surrounded him.

Just as quickly, the man could be seen getting back in having failed to put the vehicle in park, but a moment later, protesters appeared to pull open his door, attempting to remove him from the driver’s seat with force.

As stated earlier, Metzger had not been shy about his participation the George Floyd riots, documenting his involvement. However, the video he took of him chasing down the elderly man’s vehicle and calling him a “motherf*cker” appeared to have been pulled from his social media account.

Organized by the Minnesota Anti-War Committee, the state’s American Muslims for Palestine and Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Minnesota, the stated intent by the national communications director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Ibrahim Hooper, “was to criticize Gov. Tim Walz’s vocal support of #Israel and his silence on #Palestinian occupation.”

Unstated, but still represented, was support for Hamas as attendees also were seen waving the standard of the terrorist organization responsible for the Oct. 7 slaughter of 1,400 people in Israel.

In a statement from Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson Aaron Rose to Newsweek, authorities made clear an investigation was underway but that seemingly no one in the crowd of roughly 5,000 had been hurt by the motorist. “Various witnesses reported a vehicle driving through the crowd, and one caller reported the sound of a gunshot. At this time, there have been no reports of injuries related to the demonstration, and no victims have come forward.”
