Elon Musk agrees to train with UFC legend for hyped up cage match with Mark Zuckerberg

Tesla/Twitter maven Elon Musk is set to engage in the battle of the billionaires, prepping for a cage match with Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, while accepting training from UFC legend Georges St.-Pierre on Monday evening.

“I’m a huge fan of yours and it would be an absolute honor to help you and be your training partner for the challenge against Zuckerberg,” tweeted St.-Pierre, who is seen as one of the best UFC fighters of all time and one of the greatest fighters in mixed martial arts history.

“Ok, let’s do it,” Musk responded, making the proposed match a pending reality that will drive the media crazy.

According to Fox News, “St-Pierre (26-2-0), a French-Canadian fighter who held championships in two different UFC weight classes, last competed in the Octagon when he resoundingly defeated then-UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping in 2017. He came out of retirement for the match, defeated the champ, and retired again, voluntarily vacating the title.”

Musk has admitted to not regularly working out but he has previously trained in “judo, Kyokushin (full contact) & no rules streetfighting.”

The whole idea began as just a back-and-forth on Twitter between Musk and users. It escalated into him challenging Zuckerberg to a cage match. The two tech titans will battle it out with America watching.

Zuckerberg accepted the challenge.

Musk who is independent and believes in freedom of speech will take on Zuckerberg, who seems to have an extreme penchant for censorship.

UFC President Dana White later confirmed the two billionaires were “absolutely dead serious” about the cage match.

“They both said, ‘Yeah, we’ll do it.’ They both want to do it,” White told TMZ Sports in an interview.

White believes the match could be the “biggest fight ever in the history of the world.”

“This would be the biggest fight ever in the history of the world,” the UFC president proclaimed.” Bigger than anything that’s ever been done. It would break all pay-per-view records. These guys would raise hundreds of millions of dollars for charity. You don’t have to be a fighting fan to be interested in this fight. Everybody would want to see it.”

“The biggest fight of all time was Floyd Mayweather and Conor [McGregor], I just think it triples that. I think it triples what that did. There’s no limit on what that thing can make. … Everybody would watch it, everybody would want to see it,” he added.

The fight idea arose from a report that Meta was working on a Twitter-like application that would directly compete with Musk’s platform.

“I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options,” Musk snarked.

The Twitter mogul then said he was “up for a cage match if he [Zuckerberg] is.”

Zuckerberg got wind of the challenge and the next day accepted it via Instagram, telling Musk, “Send Me Location.”

“If this is for real, I will do it,” Musk replied, suggesting the match should take place in Las Vegas, inside a UFC Octagon.

The SpaceX, Tesla, and Twitter boss also revealed that he had a “practice round” with podcaster and jiu-jitsu fighter Lex Fridman on Monday evening.

Fridman also sparred with Zuckerberg last week.

No date has been set for the match yet. But it appears Musk’s mother has something to say about it all.
