Elon Musk celebrates ‘best chyron ever’ as CNN frets over DOGE worker ‘Big Balls’

Elon Musk got a good laugh at the expense of CNN which tried to run a serious story focused on a DPGE worker using the name “Big Balls” online.

The billionaire Tesla CEO who is heading up President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency thought the segment from CNN’s “Erin Burnett Outfront”  displayed the “Best chyron ever” as he shared a screenshot on X.

The entire segment was dedicated to maligning Musk and the 19-year-old “government expert” hired along with other young engineers to tackle finding/slashing government waste.

The CNN chyron that caught Musk’s attention read, “DOGE teen, known online as ‘Big Balls,’ now a govt ‘expert’,” and featured Wired global editorial director Katie Drummond.

“So this is a 19-year-old high school graduate who has used the unfortunate nickname, uh, ‘Big Balls’ online. So that would be one way that we could refer to him,” Drumond told host Erin Burnett about the subject whose actual name is reportedly Edward Coristine.

“He is now working at Musk’s behest inside DOGE and we looked into his background, and so we found, you know, several notable things, Erin. One of which is that this individual has founded multiple companies, including one with another unfortunate name, uh, ‘Tesla Dot Sexy LLC,’ which he established in 2021. He would have been around 16 years old,” Drummond continued.

“Now, this LLC controls dozens of web domains, a handful of which are registered to Russia. Now that in and of itself is not necessarily illegal, but every expert we’ve spoken to said that that is exactly the kind of thing, those kinds of foreign connections, that would raise red flags on a background check,” she claimed. “Now, he also worked at a network monitoring firm that is known for hiring reformed black hat hackers, essentially criminals, and lastly we uncovered Telegram messages that we’ve linked to this individual in which that Telegram user is soliciting a cyber attack for hire.”

Burnett turned to Kara Swisher for commentary as she asked, after referring to “Big Balls” again, “I’m curious though, Kara, how well does even Musk know these young men?”

“I could make a joke, that’s probably why he was hired for all this ridiculous nonsense,” Swisher replied.

Musk was evidently entertained by the segment as he also posted, “This was actually on TV,” along with laughing emojis.

Musk poked fun at the meltdown over the 19-year-old DOGE worker.

Social media users joined the mockery of CNN and the epic chyron.
