Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) understands that he destroyed any hopes of credibility as a serious player in politics when he opted to lay down with suspected Chinese spy Fang Fang. Since his sexual dalliance with the CCP honeypot, Swalwell spends most days goading Republicans if he is not busy disparaging Donald Trump.
On Sunday, the shameless Democrat was able to combine these passions in his response to the former president being shot by a would-be assassin. Pushing disinformation, Swalwell seized on early reports that the gunman was a registered Republican to feign concern over the shooting.
“I don’t know why a Republican would try and kill his party’s own nominee with an assault rifle. But it’s wrong,” he posted on X. “Violence has never been the answer. Violence is not the answer. Violence will never be the answer.”

The left has been running with the fact that the shooter, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was a registered Republican, but records show that an individual matching Crooks’ name made a donation to ActBlue earmarked for the Progressive Turnout Project, a political action committee that aims to mobilize Democratic voters. Online speculation suggests that Crooks may have registered as a Republican to vote against Trump in the primary — Pennsylvania is a closed-primary state.
There has been little reporting about Crooks’ life and his political views, which is suspect given the state of social media today. The FBI was quick to declare that it appears Crooks acted alone, but history shows that if he really was a right-winger, we would already know what Crooks had for breakfast the morning before he opened fire on Trump and was felled by a police sniper.
Comedian Roseanne Barr summed up events well when she posted about campaigns on the left urging Democrats to vote as Republicans to manipulate primary outcomes — though it is closed primaries that would require a party registration change.
“I was waiting for them to blame us for this too. The gaslight war is over: these people have no power left. Chinese spy fornicator and fellow pant shitter Swalwell is purposely ignoring an act blue donation and open primaries where Dems were urged to register as republicans to hurt Trump in the primaries These people are evil,” she wrote on X.

Here’s a quick sampling of other responses to the story, as seen on X:

You’re intentionally misrepresenting the truth Eric. The killer donated to ActBlue, the same service you raise money on. He donated to support Democrats like you getting elected. He likely registered Republican to vote against Trump in our primary due to his twisted Trump hate. https://t.co/xDN10VIT5L

You can choose not to be a douchebag, Eric.
He also donated to ActBlue and was connected to a grow progress group.
Not exactly Republican behavior. https://t.co/GPWJxqVDnK
