‘Everybody needs to be woke’: Unearthed Kamala Harris clip takes internet by storm

Vice President Kamala Harris has not sat for an interview or taken a single question from a member of the press since her media-orchestrated coronation as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee after President Biden was reportedly forced out of the race over mental acuity concerns.

This is not to say that the vice president’s words are not reverberating online — in the form of previous clips of Harris saying mind-numbing things.

There is little doubt that Harris may be the most radical left Democratic to get this close to being president and this reality was captured in a 2017 clip of Harris declaring that “everybody needs to be woke.”

Still a senator at the time, Harris appeared at Recode’s annual Code Conference, alongside philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, and proclaimed, “We have to stay woke. Like everybody needs to be woke. And you can talk about if you’re the wokest or woker, but just stay more woke than less woke.”

Harris concluded with her cringe-worthy cackle as Jobs looked on with a rather quizzical expression on her face.

The clip went viral and of all the responses to it, Gad Saad may have won the internet when he said, “It is impossible to believe that this is a real individual with a functioning brain. It is impossible to believe that this is not a cyborg designed by the Russians to troll us.”

Conservative author James Lindsay was a close second in writing, “Kamala is a low-level Communist functionary, and I’m tired of being told we have to pretend she’s not.”

The clip below more or less proves this point, with Harris talking about “equity” being more important than equality because it results in “everybody ending up in the same place.”

Keep in mind that as the Marxist-inspired Black Lives Matter movement was rioting in cities across America in the summer of 2020, Harris cheered them on during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“But they’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop. They’re not. This is a movement. I’m telling you,” she said. “They’re not going to stop, and everyone, beware. Because they’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop before election day in November, and they are not going to stop after election day. And everyone should take note of that on both levels. That they’re not going to let up. And they should not, and we should not.”

But the call for wokeness stands out in the eyes of many as a clarion call to vote for 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. One thing is certain, the media has their work cut out for them in getting Kamala Harris elected president. They will have to do one better than the infamous Joe Biden “basement campaign” approach taken in 2020. Stay tuned!
