FBI responds to ‘missteps’, Mueller’s ‘pit bull’ slams Durham report as ‘a big fat nothing’

The highly-anticipated report from Special Counsel John Durham, who was tasked with investigating the Russia collusion delusion, landed with a bang on Monday afternoon as various malefactors flew into action to dismiss its damning conclusions, one of them being MSNBC’s Andrew Weissmann.

According to Weissmann who was dubbed “Mueller’s pit bull” for his role in spearheading the sweeping anti-Trump witch hunt headed up by the former FBI boss and special counsel, Durham’s report is just a “big fat nothing” and the Russians did interfere in the election.

The former prosecutor, who like many other former security state goons now draws a paycheck from the left-wing cable network that serves as a top propaganda organ for the Democratic Party, appeared on Monday’s edition of “Deadline: White House” where he scoffed at the special counsel’s findings.

“Russia interfered in the 2016 election,” Weissmann insisted to host Nicolle Wallace. “They’re continuing to interfere… and what you have with John Durham is, look it’s a big fat nothing.”

“You wanna talk about a witch hunt or sort of, real, wasted resources,” Weissmann added. “If John Durham was really just doing an investigation to talk about, what are better policies and practices that the FBI could have and was depoliticizing it, I would’ve been all for that and said, ‘Great. There’s no agency that can’t use greater scrutiny.’ But this was trying to say that there’s a big there, there when there’s no, there, there.”

The FBI, which was implicated in using the bogus information concocted by 2016 Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign to launch its politically motivated persecution of then-President Donald J. Trump reacted to Durham’s bombshell.

“The conduct in 2016 and 2017 that Special Counsel Durham examined was the reason that current FBI leadership already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time. Had those reforms been in place in 2016, the missteps identified in the report could have been prevented,” the Bureau said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“This report reinforces the importance of ensuring the FBI continues to do its work with the rigor, objectivity, and professionalism the American people deserve and rightly expect,” the FBI, which many Americans now view as President Joe Biden’s “personal Gestapo” added.

Republicans reacted to Durham’s conclusions which, while not new, served as an official confirmation of the level of corruption in the efforts to destroy Trump and his presidency.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) appeared on Newsmax TV where he stressed the need for an overhaul of an FBI that has strayed far from its mission as the nation’s premier law enforcement agency into an entity that effectively functions as the secret police for the Democratic Party, much like the East German Stasi or Soviet NKVD did under notorious foreign totalitarian communist regimes.

“It was an operation from beginning to end to fuse political opposition research from the DNC and the Clinton campaign with this intelligence process and criminal process,” he said. “And it’s a sad day in America.”

“It’s very ugly for our country and it’s very ugly for the future of a democracy where the people make the choices – not the law enforcement and intelligence officers,” the conservative congressman said.

“I think we have to deauthorize, defang and defund many of these authorities and entities and different task forces that actually converted the just and righteous act of protecting our country with the desire to have a particular political candidate win or lose,” Gaetz added.
