Left-wing country singer accepts award by saying she’s a ‘badass’ for being exposed by Tucker Carlson

Country singer Maren Morris was honored at the 2023 GLAAD Media Awards New York with the Excellence in Media Award, and boasted about feeling like “a little badass” when former Fox News host Tucker Carlson called her a “lunatic.”

But then, Morris knew her audience as she boasted of achieving “beautiful, inclusive heights” while sharing the stage with three drag queens.

“I have also heard countless times over the years that I’m one of the brave voices in country music,” Morris said, after recalling her relationship with “queer friends” in 7th grade.

“But that is not true. I’m not brave. Stubborn to the point of delusional, yes, but not brave,” she said. “Making the right decision shouldn’t take bravery or courage. It shouldn’t take heroic effort to want basic equal rights for everybody.”

“I’m a straight white woman, I’m fine,” Morris continued. “But leaving your house knowing you can face violence just for being who you are, risking your life just by walking down the street, that is bravery. You.”

The danger and victimhood she speaks of may be a bit exaggerated. Certainly not as real as the dangers children face when the adults around them strip them of their natural defenses by repeatedly exposing them to sexually inappropriate content. Actions that make them vulnerable to pedophiles.

“And, okay, fine, maybe I felt a little badass taking Tucker Carlson’s calling me a lunatic for standing up to transphobia, turning it into a T-shirt, and raising $150,000 for LGBTQ+ charities, yeah,” Morris would boast, before getting a dig in about Carlson’s recent ouster from Fox News.

“That made me feel a little cool, but I don’t want to gloat, I would never insult the recently unemployed,” she added.

The reason Carlson referred to Morris as a “lunatic” and a “fake country music singer” is because she attacked Brittany Aldean, wife of country star Jason Aldean, for opposing the mad rush to transgenderism and genital mutilation of children.

Last year, Brittany said on Instagram Stories she was glad that her parents did not “change her gender” during her “tomboy phase,” and added: “Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it ‘gender affirming care’ is one of the worst evils.”

Morris countered in a tweet, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

Carlson had Brittany Aldean on his show afterward and highlighted the reaction from Morris, which is standard fare from left-wing authoritarians who refuse to tolerate any position or opinion that does not comply with their toxic worldview.
