Battling blazes was set aside as an entirely different fight was caught on video among a group of New York’s bravest.
“Get out of my f*cking face!”
Since taken down from social media, a short video captured the scene as several members of the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) appeared to rush in to separate some of their own. Posted by the TikTok account og.tizz Thursday, the New York Post reported on the incident that left many questions unanswered.
“Just another rainy day in Brooklyn and they supposed to be checking on reports of a fire…” read a caption over the less than one-minute video. “It’s a shame NYC fire men, fighting each other…”

As the videographer approached the firefighter fracas that placed the men quarreling up against a fence in their bunker gear, others rushed in to attempt and break up the conflict.
The Post reported, “The identities of firefighters and which unit they are attached to are unknown. It is also not known exactly when or where the heated fight took place.”
“Get out of my f*cking face!” one of the men could be heard shouting as another expletive was hurled while the fighters were led in separate directions.

According to the newspaper, they were unable to immediately reach the person who had originally posted the video to their social media account, but they were able to get a statement from FDNY spokesman James Long.
“We are aware of the video and incident,” he told the Post before indicating that disciplinary action had already been taken on at least one party involved in the physical dispute.
“At this time, one member has been suspended. The incident remains under investigation by the FDNY,” added Long.
Though the TikToker had suggested that the rainy day fisticuffs had happened in the borough of Brooklyn, the FDNY spokesman negated that detail and informed the Post that, though certain details remained unconfirmed, it had in fact occurred in Manhattan.
“I believe last weekend,” he offered. “All other details fall to the investigation.”
Reacting to the stories, commenters expressed sympathies for flaring tempers on the job and even suggested, without the source of the conflict being reported, that some blame could be leveled against the failed leadership by New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) who’ve left the Big Apple seething with violent crime and swamped by illegal aliens.
“Sowing division in a metropolis manufactures an unhappiness trickle-down effect which envelopes every citizen trapped in its grip. I don’t think there is a single person in NY who isn’t on edge because of the current democratic-sponsored invasion. This too is Adams/Hochul’s doing,” said one as another wrote, “Tempers can flare in any job, and when the job involves an abundance of testosterone, fists often fly. There was more than one occasion in my military career where we stepped out back to ‘have a discussion.'”
