‘Feinstein’s gonna be so mad’: Notoriously nasty Dem Rep outdoes herself with bold Senate announcement

Self-interested Rep. Katie Porter’s (D-Calif.) announcement Tuesday about her political future showed she’s overdue for a lesson on timing and tact, and begged the question if anybody told Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) yet.

Coming off of a week of slamming Republicans for supposed disunity, Porter didn’t help diminish the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party when the two-term congresswoman announced her campaign as a candidate for Senate in 2024. It would seem that Porter’s notoriety for nastiness can now extend to the longest-serving female senator in history as the nearly 90-year-old Feinstein has made no public statements about an intent to retire.

Along with a roughly minute-and-a-half video posted to social media (complete with a captioning typo that read “I don’t do Conress the way others do,”) Porter’s announcement read, “California needs a warrior in the Senate–to stand up to special interests, fight the dangerous imbalance in our economy, and hold s0-called leaders like Mitch McConnell accountable for rigging our democracy.”

“Today, I’m proud to announce my candidacy for the U.S. Senate in 2024,” the apparent election denialist said.

Unsurprisingly, progressive sycophants lined up to applaud and cheer like prompted attendees of “The Late Show” without considering anything further than what was in front of them.

At the obvious forefront, as suggested, was Feinstein for whom digital strategist Greg Price, among others, suggested was, “gonna be so mad Katie Porter announced a run for her seat as soon as she figures out where she currently is.”

Others zeroed in on the oft-reported claims that the former math teacher and law professor is one of the worst bosses on Capitol Hill.

In addition to being called out for firing a staffer after she alleged the employee gave her COVID, others have come forward to report their own horror stories including one alleged staffer to the congresswoman who said in a message, “Widely known across the party/consultants that Katie Porter is abusive. Unable to cope with basic demands of being a member so she takes it out staff. Says rude/racist things (anti-black esp) and tries to mask it as edgy humor. Thinks she knows better and talks sh*t about other members, leadership, staffers, local electeds, etc at full volume, in public and to literally any1 who will listen.”

Porter’s announcement wasn’t only razzed for preempting any word from Feinstein on potentially retiring, but also for being out of touch with the clear and present concerns of the people of her state where more than a dozen had reportedly been killed due to flash flooding and tens of thousands had been left without power.

DNC delegate RL Miller posted her favor of the congresswoman but asked, “could you have waited one more day til we’re not all under a flash flood warning to make that announcement?”

Furthermore, as the California progressive looks to further her own career, it wouldn’t do without pointing out her disinterest in her current position as, while trying to be snarky, Porter showed up on the fourth day of voting for the speaker of the House to ostentatiously read “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck” in the chamber.
