Fetterman brands left’s ‘contempt for Israel’ as ‘anti-American’

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) just took a flamethrower to nearly his entire party, branding those who are contemptuous of Israel as being anti-American as well.

An outlier in a party rife with anti-Semitism, the Pennsylvania Democrat has been a regular guest on Fox News, where he has shared his disgust with the far-left elements who are the dominant faction in the modern Democratic Party, with hating on Jews and socialism going hand in hand.

Fetterman appeared on Tuesday’s edition of “Hannity,” where he lamented the unpopularity of the Jewish state with leftists and Democratic Socialists, including New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a rising Democratic star.

“Why the deep hatred for Israel? Why?” Sean Hannity asked Fetterman, a staunch defender of America’s vital Middle East ally and partner in the war on Iran.

“Because you have such contempt for Israel, I mean, of course, you’re also anti-American, and you’re anti-Western civilian… civilization,” the hoodie-clad senator responded.

“And you’re anti-capitalism and the American way of life. Now, I mean, they’re all socialists, of course, now there’s communists and now Marxists and now they’re proud of this,” Fetterman explained, taking a shot at “P hustle” Maine Senate hopeful Graham Platner, a frequent target.

The senator and the host also discussed Tuesday’s Democratic primary in New York, where a slate of far-left candidates backed by the “communist lunatic” Mamdani would go on to beat their establishment opponents, including filthy rich Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), who was pulverized by former City Comptroller Brad Lander who tapped into the anti-Israel sentiment of the party’s base and is likely headed to Washington.

Initially backed by progressives during his Senate run, the former Braddock, PA, mayor is now a reviled figure on the left, mostly because of his outspoken support for Israel and condemnation of the brutal butchery of the Hamas terror organization.

Earlier this year, CNN’s Harry Enten noted how unpopular Fetterman has become with his party, a 108-point swing to the negative since he was a beloved pet during his campaign against Republican opponent Dr. Mehmet Oz, now the director of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

“I’m proud to stand with Israel,” Fetterman told Hannity. “And, you know, whether if I’m the last Democrat, you know, here or not, I’m proud to stand with Israel, and I’m going to call out what I’m witnessing all across the country and all of these races, and you have these kinds of candidates that are actively trying to cram as much anti-Israel and essentially anti-Semitism into their platform.”
