A suspect considered a “frequent flyer” to law enforcement was arrested in Florida after the alleged “cold-blooded” murder of three tourists staying next door near Walt Disney World.

Deputies from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene of a shooting Saturday afternoon in Kissimmee, Florida’s Indian Point subdivision. It was there that they discovered “three adult males deceased in front of the home” adjacent to the property of a 29-year-old previously acquitted for a gun-related crime by reason of insanity.
“It was cold-blooded, it was premeditated, there was absolutely no issues. There was no conflict between these people,” said Osceola County Sheriff Christopher Blackmon during a press conference after the arrest of Ahmad Jihad Bojeh. “This was just random. And this happened to be the person who lived next door.”
The sheriff also said, “There is no threat to the community, as the suspect responsible for these horrific and senseless murders has been apprehended by Osceola County deputies,” who’d arrived in time to flush the suspect back into his home to prevent him from posing any further threat to the public.
Of the victims, 70-year-old Robert Lewis Kraft of Holland, Michigan, and his brother, 68-year-old Douglas Joseph Kraft of Columbus, Ohio, were the first to be publicly identified. At the time of the press conference, the sheriff reported that contact had not been made with the family of the third victim, who’d since been identified as the Kraft’s 69-year-old friend from Columbus, James John Puchan, according to WKMG.
Meanwhile, Blackmon explained that a fourth friend had departed the rental property on Friday while the others had stayed behind longer than initially planned because of car trouble, though the reason for the visit to the area outside Disney, which is rife with golf courses, had not been specified.
Following the execution of a search warrant at Bojeh’s home, authorities located two firearms as yet undetermined to be connected to the three counts of first-degree murder.
Prior to the weekend arrest, the alleged suspect was considered a “frequent flyer to the sheriff’s office,” which included his 2021 arrest for opening fire at random vehicles in a Wawa parking lot, injuring one man. Court records indicated that Bojeh had been “acquitted by reason of insanity” regarding the incident.
Questions about a possible motive for the murders found Blackmon stating on Sunday, “As of right now, we have nothing. Just looks like a random, but again, the investigation, you know, it’s ongoing. It’s fresh, it’s new. We’re just a little bit over 24 hours into it, so we’re trying to gather the facts.”
Bojeh remained silent during his first court appearance on Sunday, where the judge ordered the alleged suspect to be held without bond at the Osceola County Jail.
