Florida socialist asked about deporting illegal immigrants accused of murder — here’s his answer

It takes a lot of effort to make Debbie Wasserman Schultz look like the reasonable candidate, but Elijah Manley is putting in the work.

Manley is currently battling for Florida’s District 20 seat against contenders like DWS, rapper Luke “Uncle Luke” Campbell and indicted ex-Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, and the socialist candidate is making some standout remarks that have been garnering a lot of attention.

In one case, he argued that the seat should only be held by a black person, because having a “white Democrat” in the seat is “unacceptable.”

“In this moment that we’re in, where we say this attack on the Voting Rights Act by the Supreme Court, the evisceration of our protections, we cannot have someone who claims to be an ally to our community come, in this moment, the moment that we’re in right now, and take away our representation. One of the last remaining opportunity districts that we have in the South, being held by a white Democrat, that’s unacceptable,” he said.

In another moment, Manley told Fox News that it doesn’t “make sense” to send an illegal alien with a murder charge back to their own country, because they’ll just cross the border again.

“I’m saying if they come into this country illegally, which means crossing the border illegally, and they have a rap sheet back in their own country, are you okay with them staying here?” Martha MacCallum asked.

“What I’m saying is if a murderer comes into the United States of America, sending them back for them to just come back over the border doesn’t make sense to me. If you’re a murderer coming to this country, put you in jail. That’s all I’m saying,” he argued. “I mean, Republicans want to give these folks a vacation. I’m not interested in giving these folks a vacation back home, or a free trip.”

“That’s ridiculous. I don’t know what you’re talking about. A vacation? No, we’re talking about removing them to the country they came from illegally. There’s almost no country in the world that allows people to just cross their border and begin a life inside that country,” MacCallum said.
