Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo tore into the Biden administration over the Big Apple’s migrant crisis and warned that his party could pay a very serious price amid rising discontent from the locals.
The disgraced Democrat strongman, who was forced to resign amid allegations of sexual impropriety in 2021, spoke to a crowd in Brooklyn, a borough of a city that’s been completely overwhelmed by illegal aliens.
“This was a federal responsibility, period. First and foremost. Not the state, not the city. Immigration law is a federal responsibility,” Cuomo told a crowd at the Thomas Jefferson Democratic Club in a Thursday speech.

“This is a function for the federal government to manage, and make every city, every state do its fair share,” he said during his rant, adding that the Biden regime should “pay the bill for the cost of the migrants and don’t ask the taxpayers of any city to pick up the bill.”
“How do we get to a place where Governor Abbott of Texas is deciding where hundreds of thousands of migrants go around this nation is laughable,’ Cuomo asked, referring to the enormously successful relocation effort undertaken by the Lone Star State Republican that has gotten the attention of political leaders in the sanctuary city.
Even worse, the migrant disaster could vindicate former President Donald J. Trump in the eyes of New York City voters who have had it with the migrant invasion.
“It’s going to hurt us. I’ll tell you what Donald Trump is going to say in four words: ‘I told you so,” Cuomo said, according to the Daily Mail.
The ex-governor’s words came the day before an ugly scene played out on Friday where a furious crowd shouted down Democrat lawmakers at a news conference in Midtown.
Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jerrold Nadler were serenaded with shouts of “Close the border!” and “Send them back!” from angry constituents during the heated event outside of the Roosevelt Hotel, one of the locations where illegal migrants are being housed.

As Friday’s scenes show, ordinary New Yorkers are sick and tired of their city being overrun by the new arrivals who in many cases, are treated better than actual citizens and there is no end in sight. Things are so dire that New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently warned that Gotham is at risk of actually being destroyed by the ongoing mass influx of migrants.

“Mayor [Eric] Adams is right — it is unsustainable for New York City to carry this burden,” said Cuomo “There is no legal, ethical, financial, practical way that you can ask New York City to do this. They don’t have the financing.”
