Fox News anchor defends Kamala’s ducking the media: ‘I wouldn’t change anything’

Democratic Party nominee Kamala Harris has been criticized for her lack of availability to answer real questions after she was swapped out with Joe Biden but has found an unlikely defender.

On Friday’s edition of “The Five” on Fox News, anchor Shannon Bream said that the vice president shouldn’t change a thing considering the ongoing lovefest and the media’s hands-off treatment of a woman who until three weeks ago, was ridiculed for her obvious incompetence.

Bream threw in her two cents during an at-times heated discussion about Harris’s lack of substance with which pundit Harold Ford Jr. agreed but told Judge Jeanine Pirro that “Your candidate is doing even worse,” steering the conversation back to “muh Trump” as a diversionary trick.

“The truth is, that Shannon, that the president talks about issues unlike what Harold is representing. He talks about the border, he talks about the economy, he talks about crime, he talks about what’s going on in the Middle East,” Pirro said, adding that Trump is “getting his word” out while Harris has been wrapped in a protective cocoon by an incurious media.

“I think what their number one goal so far, the message has been is, ‘We’re not Trump,'” Bream responded. “Because if we’re not getting into policy yet and it’s not on the website and they haven’t done the interviews and they’re really not talking about the minutia of policy on the campaign trail, it is as Jesse [Watters] said, it’s joyful, they’re happy warriors, and look at this team go. So how long does the honeymoon last?”

“She said by the end of the month,” she continued, referring to Harris’s vague remarks that she’ll maybe do an interview by the end of August. “So, a month after becoming the nominee maybe we’re gonna have a sitdown interview from her. In the meantime, if I’m advising her, I say just keep doing this, it’s working.”

“You have an adoring media, you have people who are not pressing you on what appear to be changes in positions and those kinds of things. It may be the debate is the first time that they get to that,” Bream added. “But in the meantime, I wouldn’t change anything if I was her. It’s working. Her unfavorables are down, her favorables are up 12 points since she was named to the ticket. So why change it if it’s working?”

After three weeks, America’s DEI darling finally spoke to the press with a few very brief half-answers given on the tarmac of Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in which she sort of committed to an interview which, when it does happen, will be conducted in the most friendly environment possible.

“I’ve talked to my team. I want us to get an interview scheduled before the end of the month,” Harris said in response to a question about why she hasn’t held a press conference or sat down for an in-depth interview since she was handed her party’s nomination without receiving a single primary vote.
