Fox Sports analyst appears on camera with paper bag over poor NBA playoff pick

Fox Sports analyst Chris Broussard appeared on camera with a paper bag over his head in an admission of shame for having any faith in the Brooklyn Nets.

Seen as the NBA’s preseason favorites, Broussard was commenting on the so-called super team that became a super disaster being down 3-0 in a best of seven playoff series against the Boston Celtics — the Celtics would sweep the series 4-0  Monday night, proving Broussard right.

“They’re done. Toast. Finito. Gone Fishin’. 1-2-3, Cancun. However you want to put it, it’s over. This is embarrassing,” Broussard exclaimed, after removing the bag.

“I’ve been had guys, I’ve been took,” he added. “I’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, let astray, run amok, this is ridiculous!”

In an earlier segment, Broussard criticized Nets superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving for not showing up on the court.

“I said, when push comes to shove, and the defense knows exactly what you’re doing, you need a guy that can break down the defense, preferably a couple,” he said. “They’ve got them and they’ve disappeared. Kyrie and KD have been outplayed by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and it’s not even close. In the clutch, throughout the three quarters and defensively. The other guys have been fine, Nick. The defense hasn’t been that bad.”

“But the bottom line is, this is their superstars. And here’s what it looks like, and this to me makes it worse. Look, if you are a Nets fan or Nets executive, you have to hope that maybe KD and Kyrie will learn from this, that maybe they’ll be humble. Because, what they look like is a couple of arrogant know-it-alls who are having their foot stuck in their mouth,” Broussard added.
