Fox’s Tarlov hits Trump for ‘demeaning’ female Haley in victory speech: ‘uncontrollable narcissism, rage’

Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov delivered her unsolicited psychological evaluation of former President Donald Trump following his victory in New Hampshire.

The lone liberal on the panel of “The Five” unloaded as she was responding to a question about the state of the 2024 election race in the wake of Trump’s Republican New Hampshire primary win on Tuesday.

Though the GOP frontrunner defeated former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in the Granite State, she declared she would keep marching on in the race, even as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and others have bowed out.

Trump was nothing short of critical of Haley after she delivered what sounded to many like a victory speech.

“This race is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go, and the next one is my sweet state of South Carolina,” she had said, prompting Trump to call her out as “DELUSIONAL” in a post on Truth Social.

“I find in life, you can’t let people get away with bullshit,” Trump told supporters Tuesday night. “And when I watched her in the fancy dress that probably wasn’t so fancy, come up, I said, ‘What’s she doing? We won.’”

His fashion commentary set off Tarlov who made her comments after Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked her about the race.

“In the 2015 campaign, it was all about bringing out new voters, about electrifying the base which has stuck by President Trump throughout all of this,” MacCallum said during a panel analysis of the primary.

“But I wonder if they’re going to pivot this time to try to get some of these voters that are voting for Nikki Haley, that, some of them have voted for Ron DeSantis, who maybe is more in his lane. But the Nikki Haley voter, are they gonna try to get them, do you think?” she asked.

“Well, I am certainly not an adviser to the Trump campaign,” Tarlov began with a laugh.

“But you know, we talk in the millions of votes when we’re talking about the general election, but it actually comes down to the tens of thousands, right? The margins in Georgia, in Arizona, in Michigan, and Pennsylvania, it’s minute, right?” she continued.

“It can be the difference between whether you came out and criticized your opponent’s dress which some could interpret as demeaning a woman again, which is obviously something that he suffers from,” she said, an apparent reference to the former president’s remark, “or just making a little offhanded comment [and] someone says, ‘You know what? I’m gonna sit home,’ or, ‘Actually I want four more years of Joe Biden.'”

The left-of-center host claimed it would be “smart” if Trump would listen to advice, like that of his former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, but added that the 77-year-old “has an uncontrollable narcissism and rage about him when he feels insulted.”

“And it’s appealing to the base who say, ‘We love it, he’s a counter puncher.’ But you’ve now lost a general election. You’ve presided over the loss of the Republican Senate, the Republican House,” Tarlov continued doling out her advice.

“Abortion has been on the ballot seven times, Democrats have swept it in all that, and he has not moderated at all,” she concluded.  “And frankly, I don’t think it’s in him to be able to do it for more than 20 minutes.”
