GA jury forewoman downright giddy as she talks about Trump trial; real video plays like a parody

After a nearly eight-month investigation, a Fulton County special grand jury recommended on Tuesday that multiple people be indicted for allegedly interfering with Georgia’s 2020 presidential elections, and the national media had Donald Trump on their collection brain.

The jury forewoman, Emily Kohrs, was a sudden media darling over the possibility of Trump being among those being indicted and she was downright giddy over all the attention she was getting, but her explanation of why she wanted to hear from the former president was enough to give one pause, regardless of their political affiliation.

“I wanted to hear from the former president, but honestly I kinda wanted to subpoena the former president because I got to swear everybody in and so I thought it would be really cool to get 60 seconds with President Trump, of me looking at him and being like, ‘Do you solemnly swear… I just thought that would be an awesome moment,” Kohrs said during an appearance on MSNBC.

Turns out, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kohrs was unemployed at the time she was summoned for jury duty, having worked in mostly customer service and retail roles. The 30-year-old woman was also largely unfamiliar with all the controversy over the outcome of Georgia’s presidential election in 2020, the newspaper reported.

“High energy, with a red vape in her hand and a notebook in front of her… on what could and could not be discussed, Kohrs expressed amazement at the media attention she had received over the last several hours,” AJC added of their interview.

She rolled her eyes and burst out laughing when told that the former president posted, “Total exoneration.”

”Did he really say that?” Kohrs asked. “Oh, that’s fantastic. That’s phenomenal. I love it.”

In an interview with CNN’s Kate Bolduan, a giggly Kohrs reassured the host that it was “not a short list” when it comes to those being indicted.

“There may be some names on that list that you wouldn’t expect. But the big name that everyone keeps asking me about – I don’t think you will be shocked,” she added while playing coy.

Kohrs told The New York Times, of those being indicted, “You’re not going to be shocked. It’s not rocket science. You won’t be too surprised.”
