‘Game over’: Elon Musk warns what will happen in a one-party sweep

Elon Musk warned that it could be “game over for America”  if Democrats sweep elections in 2028, leading to a one-party government that will be the end of democracy.

In a social media post shared Friday, the SpaceX and Tesla CEO urged Americans to vote for Republican candidates in the upcoming November 3 midterm elections, which many predict will see Democrats regain the House of Representatives majority and perhaps even the Senate.

Musk, who has poured millions of dollars in support of Republican candidates, shared that his “biggest concern” is “a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028.”

The world’s richest man warned that if Democrats succeed in securing the presidency and both chambers of Congress, they will make Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico states “to gain a strong majority in the Senate.”

He added that Democrats will also “Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority” and would “Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.”

“This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word,” Musk warned.

“All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election,” he concluded. “Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.”

Musk has reportedly donated more than $276 million to Republican groups and his super PAC since the summer, with “one of the largest political donations in American history” when he gave $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, according to The New York Times.

“Mr. Musk has also built a major Republican turnout operation through a super PAC he founded in 2024, America PAC. He donated over $76 million this summer to the group, which in turn spent that much on building a sprawling canvassing program to try to turn out hard-to-reach Republican voters,” the paper noted, adding that he has “already given far more money, about $366 million, to federal committees during the 2025-26 election cycle than he did during the 2024 election.”

Clearly, Musk has made it a priority to keep the GOP in power.
